Philips have gone back to basics with a nice small shaving head (which cuts very well), a good large battery for long life which can be charged with just a cable (ideal for travelling). The addition of the inbuilt trimmer without having an separate accessory is very welcome.

Although a mid range razor, the closeness is a lot better than my last one. I find it glides over the skin. Not tried a wet shave yet, but I am more than impressed with my purchase. You only get what you pay for. Only downside the instruction book could be better.

A much closer shave than my previous shaver and with no skin irritation, quick to charge and easy to clean. A real upgrade!

It took a few days to become familiar with this shaver - particularly using a circular motion to achieve the most effective shave. Once that was done it is an excellent shaver, having a long lasting charge and giving a very smooth skin. It is very easy to clean and dries in a couple of hours. My 3rd Philips shaver and by far the best

Philips emailed me asking to me leave a review. They have made unwanted contact. If i want to leave a review I’ll do it under my own volition and not be pressured in to it. This is effectively a bullying tactic hence 1 star.

Black Friday 2025 gave me the opportunity to buy a Philips i9000 shaver. I am very happy to have it.

Excellent quality product, easy to use and gives a good shave to all areas of the face. The online instructions are a little difficult to maintain, making it more of a challenge than it should be. The cleaning process is great and leaves the shaver clean and fresh for each shave. It's recharging is quick and efficient, easy to maintain. Very happy with this product and recommend it to family and friends.

I bought the shaver to replace an old but reliable Arcitec model. The new one is quiet in use and generally gives a good shave albeit requiring extra passes to obtain as close a shave as I had previously. The individual heads are overly large i.e. the amount of plastic around the shaver blades is excessive and lacks precision. The individual heads pivot nicely to follow the contours of the face generally, but too much when shaving around my chin, such that the middle of the head goes in too far and 'cups', sort of jamming against my chin. The head opening in one piece is good although you cannot shake the head free of excess water after cleaning due to the way the pivot fits into the shaver body, clipping in rather weakly, meaning it goes flying across the bathroom! Overall I would describe the shaver as adequate but disappointing when compared with a design for 15-20 years ago

I have to assume that Philips and it's competitors have all improved a huge amount through the years judging by my i9000/30 which has exceeded my expectations so far (a few weeks now). As an 'older gentleman' I have decades of experience with wet shaving and have owned older models from both Philips and Braun and neither gave me a shave like this. Efficient and smooth to the point I don't need to wet shave, happy used dry or wet (with or without a light amount of shaving gel or soap), fine in front of a mirror or in the shower (keeping it away from the water stream of course) and so simple I use it daily instead of wet shaving 2 or 3 times per week. Maybe the best part and the reason I bought this particular model is the cleaning case. I flip the head open, rinse under a tap, close it, put it in the case and press the on button and leave it. It cleans and lubricates in about a minute, turns itself off and gently dries over the hours even I leave it like that. I dont have shares in Philips by the way, just complimentary about a good product.

A much improved shave over my old 9000 version. I do think that the curved head is a little cumbersome though. I like the flip up trimmer but do miss the drier of the old jet system

Excellent shaver great for the shower very close shave

An excellent electric razor which gives me a smooth close shave. The best yet from Philips and I have been using their electric razors for over 50 years. Highly recommended.

I bought this shaver to replace my old Phillishave that I had for many years. With my old shaver the shave was always okay, but if I wanted a really close shave I would reach for the razor. With the i9000 I am amazed how close it gets - no more wet shaves for me, no more nicks and cuts.

This is my third Philips shave and without doubt as the years go by they get better each time.

The i9000 is my latest and I am impressed with how fast it is to get a good close shave, in under three minutes.

I'd give it 2.5 stars. The i9000 is supposedly a top end razor and to be honest I don't feel that you get anywhere near your moneys worth. I replaced my Philips Senso touch id with the i9000. The senso touch was far more comfortable in the hand and the head though of a similar size was small enough to get in those tough to reach places. It was quieter. The battery was slightly better and it came with a decent sized case and a decent brush. The i9000 comes with a reasonable hard case that is too small to accommodate the chartging lead and the brush. The cleaning brush is not fit for purpose and is a small soft nothingness that must have cost all of 1 pence. For all the electronics and LED's the only one I find usefull is the battery indicator. No point in keep taking the razor from your face to check the LED's to see if your shaving correctly. As for the cleaning pod, a complete waste of space, time and money. Much the same as the app. All in all it does give a reasonable shave for an electric shaver but it is certainly well overpriced.5 If this is progress I'm dissapointed.

Very disappointed. Compared with my previous 9000 series nothing like such a good shave and an uncomfortable grip. I note the model is withdrawn and I’m not surprised.

I give this a low rating because I can’t get a very consistent shave using this shaver. Having to achieve the circular motion for a high percentage of time across my face including my lower lip is not possible. I understand the need to limit the time in use but when I follow up the shave with a wash of my face I feel areas that are not as cleanly shaven as other areas. In particular this applies to front of my neck.

As close a, shave as I have ever had. Very comfortable.
