A great upgrade from my DCP150C that lasted for a decade, I wouldn't buy a printer from any other brand. The downloadable app is very easy to use also. Very happy with my purchase.
Love this machine
I'd got used to the slow ways of my previous Canon. So when I hooked up this Brother I was so pleased at the speed of printing. ie. I click print and it prints immediately! (I know little things please etc....) there are a couple of instant clunks to start with but so what. Print quality is great and scanning is very quick and easy.

Expensive to run.
Whilst the print quality is acceptable for everyday use the cost of replacement ink cartridges is not.

Mixed reactions
The Brother replaced a Canon Pixma inkjet. Not the easiest to set up.

Lovely little printer does everything I need it to do
This one seems to work
Just bought to replace an HP+ printer that keeps printingb when ink runs out. I just want a printer to print the occasional print, to stop when running out of paper and ink (unlike the HP one thats just been 'returned to sender') This one seems to be capable of performing these basic functions. I had a small amount of hassle when setting it up - understanding their control panel functions, but apart from that, hassle free all round so far.

Budget printer that ticks all the boxes
I decided to replace my current printer, but was reluctant to go for the very popular tank type printers, as I only use it occasionally.
The Brother is a great compromise as the cartridges are larger than most. I’m more than happy with Brother dcp j1050dw.
It’s small and very easy to use, with surprisingly good results. I’m also impressed with connectivity too, which allows me to use it from virtually anywhere.
This proves you don’t have to spend a fortune to get good results.

Excellent printer, great print quality, and fast speeds. Linux drivers are fantastic also.
