Philips Shaver Series 5000 S5586/66 -parranajokone

This shaver is much improved over previous 6000 series with separate trimmer. Having the trimmer built in is far more convenient. The heads don't seem to stick or catch as much as before. I haven't noticed any irritation on my neck which I suffered from previously. My hair is red, straggly and grows in various directions and after 3 months I am well satisfied with the result.

Have used Philips shavers since 1966. This model is bay far the best I gave had. Easy to clean, charge with USB lead in 30 mins and comes in well designed case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing the Philips Shaver series 5000 Wet and Dry electric shaver was a delight. The packaging looked indulgent and I knew I was going to be in for a treat.

The first shave was noticeably smoother than I've had using my old Philips Shaver.

After about 5 uses I needed to charge it and this was quick.

The shaver is lightweight, so no arm ache.

It was easy to clean with the rotating top flips up so you can clean inside.

The display is clear to read and understands and tells you when the battery is full.

The on/off button is easy to control but occasionally I did switch it off but I just need to get used to holding it.

The shaver is quiet in operation, nice to hold and gives a really good clean shave. The battery is lasting well and only needs charging once every two weeks. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is a really good shaver and is easy to use and clean. The only thing I don,t like is that it didn't come with a stand and I didn't realise this but I still give it 5*. Philips are the best electric shavers without doubt.

I can get a close shave though I have had to cobble something to store the device after shaving.

I gave this title because this 5000 wet and dry shaver is excellent. I have had a Phillips shaver for about 15 years as a stand by shaver as I normally wet shave but as I now have to take anti coagulation medication I was advised to use an electric shaver . I replaced,my old Phillips and I couldn't be more satisfied. Very gentle on my skin and a very close shave. I do use a pre shave lotion.
