Decent iron but the cord is not long enough. I struggle to iron long dresses and trousers

This could have been a really good purchase but the cord was less than the 2 meters specified and far too short which was disappointing. Therefore this iron will be returned to the retailer. I have been using Phillips irons for years and the cord lengths have been fine, why have Phillips now decided to make the cords so short that they are no longer practical? This is an expensive iron.

It is a good weight - not too heavy or too light. It's easy to use and irons well. The only thing I don't like is the cleaning instructions which could be better.

Stylish and light weight, only concerns were short cable length, current one that packed up after just 4 years (disappointing!), had 2.5m length that was perfect for ironing longer garments. Second concern is the colour of the water container plastic (dark blue) that makes it difficult to establish the amount of water in the iron. Current one had a clearer plastic so one could witness amount when re-filling.

The cord on this iron is so short, unless your socket is right next to your ironing board, the iron is unusable. You'll almost certainly have to run it off an extension lead, which something we're told not to do with appliances such as irons. The cord is only 190cm long, not even the 2m advertised. It's a full 1m shorter than my previous Philips iron. Disgraceful penny-pinching on the part of Philips on an expensive product.

Good compromise between cost benefits and features.

This is a brilliant iron, easy to use and does the job it is supposed to do. The water tank Is clear and easy to fill and it performs well on all materials. I would give it 5 stars but the flex/cable is just too short and I have to use an extension lead, such a shame.

This seems to be an excellent iron; good weight, smooth baseplate and good steam production. Worth spending a bit more for a good product.

I like the iron very much, but the flex is way too short..This my 5th Phillips Iron and the flex has got shorter with every iron I have brought. I don't know if I am just unlucky but as soon as the warranty expires the continuous steam feature stops working which is most annoying.

I bought this iron on Sept 12th, 2024 and on November the 15th 2024 in blew up in my hand as I was ironing.

The whole house electricity tripped, but it was a very scary moment, luckily the flash of flame from the back of the iron didn't hurt me, but my arm was vibrating for a good couple of hours.

Returned Iron and won't buy a Phillips Iron again.

This iron has a self descaling item that is so easy to clean after each ironing session. If you live like I do in a hard water area this is an amazing feature.

The iron works fine. However the flex is shorter than my previous iron so could be better

had this Iron a few weeks now and quite pleased with it , it is however a little on the heavy side compared to my previous Philips iron. it works well , could do with a longer lead as this is quite short . if it lasts as long as my previous iron I will be happy

Bought this to replace a steam generator as I can no longer lift the item due to an illness this was recommended by my family and I am very pleased with the product it’s easy to use

Light to handle, good to hold, good steam product when needed, use filtered water if possible and it don’t produce scale so much to clean out.

Very light easy to fill with water and use. Only issue is the steam could be more forceful. Would prefer a longer lead.

Would not recommend this product, it only steams when you press the shot of steam, also the control dial does not stay in position

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fast and powerful iron, the Philips DST7020/20 Steam Iron helps me a lot to save time and leaves my clothes neat.

I really like the design and the anti-dripping feature is something that I really love. All my previous irons were dripping water and that sometimes combined with scale was leaving stains on my clothes especially on the white shirts. This iron is not just fabulous with steaming, but it also has such an easy way to clean it.

As per the plate, it glides effortlessly, and this helps me a lot. What I have always wanted to have in an iron, I have it with this Philips Steam Iron.

The iron can be used vertically as well, and this helps me when I want to refresh my suit jackets, without leaving creases on them.

In terms of capacity, it holds enough water to iron a few shirts without topping up the tank.

Overall, I really like the product.

This is possibly one of the worst small appliances I have ever bought! The cable is so short it doesn’t even reach the end of an Ironing board! so you actually end up pulling the plug out of the wall socket without even realising it, so the iron cools down and water just drips out instead of steam. The filler cap pops open whilst moving the iron splattering water on your clothes, and no cable clip so iron is difficult to store.

Don’t waste your time or money. Lasted 6 months before the steam toggle switch gave up only to get a replacement which lasted 3 weeks after 4 uses. Going from bad to worse. Although it’s within warranty, we needed to return the faulty one before receiving the replacement one and leaving us without an iron for 2 weeks for the second time. Maybe 3rd time lucky.

As is typical for a Phillips product, the iron is well-made and feels robust in hand. I have used it primarily for my work trousers and shirts, and I can honestly say it has delivered the best results so far. There are no creases, and my clothes look professionally pressed.

Once the water reservoir was filled, I was worried the iron would be difficult to maneuver. However, I was still able to reach all the awkward spots, and the steam function was extremely helpful.

A couple of things could be improved: the instructions were a bit lacking, but at the end of the day, it’s an iron, and it’s not too hard to figure out. The length of the cord was limited when using an extension socket on the floor, although I understand it’s meant to be plugged directly into the wall.

Overall, it's an iron that does a good job at a decent price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The steam isn’t as great as the previous model I had, which is a shame as I presumed it would be an upgrade.

The iron is nice and light and very smooth gliding over the clothes. I seem to have to hold down the extra steam button to get a continuous stream of steam, despite having it on the hottest cotton setting.

Calcium filter is a good function, to be able to just pop the catcher out and empty is great. It’s amazing how much it collects when you live in a hard water area.
