Recently purchased as I wanted a white motherboard to match my build. I purchased the Strix 4080, 9 week prior to me purchasing this motherboard. I enjoy the GPU so much I decided to go with another ASUS product. The board works just fine and looks the part but it does have a niggling issue as to the VGA led light. The BIOS has been updated to the latest version but I have noticed that, if I don’t have my monitor on before I start up the PC, the VGA light on the motherboard will stay on, even though I have a picture and no other issues, once restarted, leaving the monitor on, then the light will go off and stay off. Asked Technical support for advice and have been told to reset the CMOS. I’m yet to attempt this as I’m unsure whether that will cause my cpu to become incapable. Little disappointed with the issue, but it’s more of an annoyance than anything.

I have had Asus motherboards before but recently upgraded and built a PC with the Rog Strix Z690-A motherboard even though I'm not a gamer. However, I do a fair amount of other creative things eg videos and such like. I'm finding the extra speed a real boon and can only say it's a really good board which should supply all my needs.

No complaints, I panicked when installing it though. I set everything up and it wouldn't post... Turns out big brain me didn't plug the CPU power cable in. Not to mention the big red light I ignored for ages telling me it wasn't. Should've read the manual. Great board tho.

In Z690 Wifi D4 category one of the best. Still complaining, AX201 and PCIe 3.0 x4 in chipset? In this prize category you would think that there is be better Wifi and PCIe 4.0 x16 in chipset, or at least PCIe 3.0 x16.

Decent MOBO but with a few annoying problems, Asus Armoury Crate (Avoid at all costs) and chronic POST times compared with equivalent MOBO's from other manufacturers, Mine takes 35 seconds to POST and boot into windows, all BIOS settings are at stock (Auto) and nothing will speed it up, M2 Firecuda OS Drive, fresh clean install. Another rig with Gigabyte Mobo and the same setup otherwise, POST and windows boot 15 seconds. ASUS have no concept of "Fast Boot" so I would chose a different OEM based on this alone.

Looks so cool, works great, i love it, rgb is stunning has enough headers for argb and pwm, nice m.2 slots and pcie has a easy snap off button

Excellent ROG Strix motherboard. Very happy and pleased with the design and layout. Would have preferred back panel as standard as the solder joints are very sharp and can bite into your fingers. Overall design and layout are very well done. Love the heat sink covers around the CPU socket, the built in IO shield, PCIex release button and the simple m2 ssd turn nob to hold down to secure it instead of a screw. Another reason is it’s designed for the DDR4 ram. Brilliant and highly recommended

Very solid board with good features plenty of storage options and great IO, the bios is extensive but intuitive and the ai overclock actually gives some decent results for those who dont want to tinker too much on their own. if you do though the addition of a bios reset on the rear IO is a welcome addition. Looks are subjective but I think it's a good looking board with ample RGB if that's your thing.

Would be 5 star, but the armoury crate required for many things like RGB, is terrible software. Poorly designed, poorly implemented, poor functionality. Even just trying to set up RGB is horrendous, can't unselect the Motherboard to setup other things. If you try to have them different they just don't load on boot etc...

Fix this and it's a 5 star product

Excellent Z690 motherboard that has pretty much everything needed for a 2.5GHz nic, Gen 5 PCIe, enough Gen 4 PCIe M.2 drives. Great on cooling with integrated heat syncs for the M.2 drives, as well as superb VRM cooling. My 12700K overclocks with a breeze to 5.3Ghz at a low vcore. Overall very happy as I used the cash back offer so get it at a good price. stacked with features, looks great and I have had no issues since launch so it has been running stable for a long time now.

This is a superb motherboard. Lots of overclocking ability and looks cool too. I have only just installed this but so far I haven't had any issues. Everything is laid out as you would expect with the added feature of have all the M2 internal SSD slots covered with their own silver metal heatsinks, the only issue I had with that is the SSD I ordered came with its own pre-installed heatsink which meant it was too thick to install under the mother board heatsink but that was my mistake.

It has a quick release button for the graphics card which makes removing it a whole lot easier than the other boards i have had especially if the cards are extra long.

It comes with plenty of cables and fixings and too. The added bonus of integrated Bluetooth and the option to add the WIFI antenna makes this a very good board.

It comes with a lighting effect called Aura (the IO backplate connector lights up on the board) which along with all the other RGB parts i have makes it look cool.

My only criticism was that it only has one USB 3 header (along with 2 x USB 2 headers) and most cases now come with 4 USB 3 ports on the front which meant that i had to purchase a separate card so i connect all 4 ports.

All in all i would recommend this as it has great features and so far has performed very well.

As a long time Asus motherboard customer, i find there products reliable and excellent quality.

This motherboard is no acception and is of the quality i am used to.

Recommended.

This is the first PC I have build using this MB. Its easy to build and has all necessary features required for entry level Enthusiast. Great value for money.

If you want overclock or want the AI to overclock and run Ram sticks like G Skill Intl F4-4133C19-8GTZR 8GB at is full rated XMP speeds please get this Motherboard is just click and play just make sure to update to the latest Bios Of course My i9 12900K is at 55000 OC on all Cores stable on first try in adaptive voltage 1.3600 @LL 4 / SP 88 Cooler Kraken Z73 side Push pull exhaust with default fun and Be quiet Light wings everywhere 13 to be exact

ASUS have always done quality motherboards and the ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 is no exception. I have however strayed away to other manufacturers due to ASUS's relative high price. The only reason I came back is I wanted a S1700 board that took DDR4 memory and there were few options. I chose this board because it had a good look, and plenty of rear USB ports which I needed.

The only down side of this board (and hence 4 not 5 stars) is it also comes with a lot of high end features that I am paying for but I know I won't use. I wish ASUS did a cheaper board without these features: BT/Wi-Fi, TPM header, Thermal monitoring, Thunderbolt, Security feature.

Further, the manual explains very little about the BIOS configuration. Even looking online there is nothing from ASUS support.

This board offered the connectivity that i required which was my primary reason for purchase and there isnt much else available that offers the same.

The bios menu is overwhelmingly complex looking initial and terminology used is different but after a few weeks of learning the logic behind the layout it is very intuitive to use and easy to find what your looking for. I also love all of the tuning options available it feels like all the important things are there. The Ai overclocking performs very well achieving a 67% increase in performance at the flick of a switch, the auto voltage used is questionable for 24/7 use for my liking and i prefer to manually dial in my values which is no problem.

Asus offers some good desktop tools which allow for modification of bios values on the fly this is an overclockers holy grail saving much time from reboots.

Overall I am very happy with the value for money, it feels like a great choice, i still want to see improvement in bios as i have got stuck in a few bootloops which require a complete reset.

Great board. Good specs and love the button release for the GPU. Good over locking options.

Great motherboard with loads of features, if you want to Overclock this board has feature’s galore, or if you wish you can just one click AI overlclock and let the board do it for you , great motherboard at this price point
