I was sceptical about how useful a massage gun would be, but after watching hours of YouTube videos I finally convinced myself to get one. I'm 40 and my athletic endeavours leave more sorer and sorer and my recovery time longer and longer, but I have to say that the Theragun does seem to help speed up recovery and certainly lessens any stiffness and aches and pains, in the short term at least. I use it now as both a warm-up tool and in the hours and days after.

The Prime has sorted me out from when I finish my gym/athletics sessions. Really good and deep massages and I love that the Therabody app uses Bluetooth to connect with the gun to automatically massage you on whatever massage/recovery exercise you do.

I really love it - it really helps me to loosen up and recover when I need it!

I am 63 although generally quite fit I was using a mini theragun which was fine. I think this prime machine is good for legs and hips but I used it on my lower neck and shoulders and hurt myself quite badly. Put my neck out for 2 weeks. If you are an older person be careful with changing the strength of these machines the larger ones are very powerful.

I have only used the prime a couple of times but already have found it's having a positive effect

I have chronic tension headaches and burning triggers points that originate from my trapezius and thanks to the massage gun I was able to elevate a lot of pain. They always come back but with constant application of the massage gun Prime, I can keep myself in decent shape. It also helps with migraines to reduce stress while laying in a dark room. I used manual trigger point balls and devices in the past but this is by far the best pain management method. I would like it to be quieter on the next model as i worry the rooms below think I'm using an adult toy! I also cant carry much due to my back pain and this helps release some of that. The handle is great for reaching in the teries major area of the back too! 5/5 Did have problems with the power and overheating but returned it no problem I'm sure the next device will be fine

This is my personal experience. Someone else’s might be different:

It helped me recover so well! And it’s really good for when i have a sore back or neck. Really worth the money if it lasts a few years.

Seems OK so far. Annoying I've wasted my time trying to track down what "Digital River Minnesota" was on my credit card statement as I had no idea and was wasting my time asking various people at work and business partners before initiating a charge back. A more simple indication of Therabody the actual product on would have been helpful. So not especially enamoured right now having wasted my time on this. I'm sure the product does what it says on the tin though.

Great product! Helps me relax and get rid of muscle tension.

The Theragun Prime is proving a great bonus to the training and injury prevention of my wife who is a runner and myself a cyclist. We are both in veterans category's and so our bodies are much more susceptible to injury when undertaking training for races.

My wife is stepping up her training mileage at the moment and so I felt that the Theragun would be an important aid to safe training. We both think it is wonderful.

Great handle. Very sturdy. Sorted my tight muscles very quickly. I use it several times a week.

Absolutely love it. Had a cheaper massage gun before this, the difference is unbelievable.

I use this at least 3 times a day,I suffer with a bad back,tight calves, arthritis in my toes and plantar issues that are there daily. Using this before and after walks has made so much difference, my ability to walk more,and hill walks too has enhanced my life again. I also bought the mini to take on walks where I had driven further, to massage straight after walk. I use the Prime 1st thing in the morning to 'wake' back muscles and to prepare feet for 1st walk. Super easy to use, love the dampener head. Will also use the mini for holidays abroad. Highly recommended both

After gym session or round of golf gun is excellent for leg arm back shoulder messasge to remove build up of lactic acid and relax.

Excellent piece of kit has helped my golfers elbow no end....

I cycle, run and now swim and have endlessly suffered from tight calves. While painful at first the Theragun has been amazing at loosening up these tight areas coupled with my usual stretching. After looking at many many makes this one won due to being a proper company with backing rather than a Chinese import item with local branding via a reseller. Some of which have great reviews, especially the MuscleGun (and a hard case).

The app is fine but not great. Keeping the gun in the pressure area is almost impossible and the inability to create a mix and match routine for your own favourite exercises poor. Couple this with routines missing some key areas, especially after cycling and the upper back, it needs some work.

Final challenge is the velvet bag it comes with on the lower price point. It’s cheap and nasty with no options to buy a proper hard case. Which is a shame.

9/10 for the device. 6/10 for the app and 1/10 for the bag.

Love it! My back and shoulders have always felt tight so regular trips to my Chiropractor is monthly.

I already feel the all over workout that this gives, is releasing the daily tension and will use it daily.

Love this piece of kit takes away most of my aches after a long session on my bike. Works actress the whole body, I just wish I had longer arms to do my back :grin:

I had to think very carefully about this purchase since it seemed like a lot of money but honestly the best purchase I have made, keeps all my tension away in my shoulders so no need to go to a massage therapist, wonderful!

If you are in pain...get one ASAP! Best thing I have ever used to relieve my muscle pain after running or walking. I’m 52 and need all the help I can get to keep mobile! Great piece of kit :+1:
