Bought a second bose 500 to pair with our first one.

They do not like to connect for long, dropping out and being a really frustrating experience. The app doesnt help either, being unreliable.

Come on bose, alot of money spent and doesnt work properly??!!

Just what expected from bose amazing looks and sound quality.

We bought a Bose Soundbar 600 as our old B&M one was well useless, the 600 was great but the sound was all in front of you so we added the bass Module 500 box which gave us sound from different areas of the room, but it still lacked "something" so we added the small Surround Speakers and they you go that was the "something" you now hear sound all around you.

Impressed with the sound that much we bought a Smart speaker 500 for the kitchen easily grouped for sound now in the kitchen and lounge you can also set which is the "master" to control the group, realising quickly although the smart 500 gives out brilliant sound again it was from one direction so we added a 2nd Smart 500 and what a sound in the kitchen now so both my wife and I can listen in both rooms, the smart speaker system is brilliant as it groups anywhere it can pick up your wifi, bring them into your living room with the rest of the kit and you have a superb immersive sound all around you, these two Smart 500 speakers are brilliant for that, plus you can ungroup and use either one of them or group just those two 500 Smarts, it is brilliant, well done Bose VERY impressed in deed the louder it goes the better it sounds.

The speaker sound is absolutely great but there are quite a few problems with this speaker I wasn't expecting from a company as high end as bose, especially for the price point. At this moment I find it to only be a speaker. Alexa took 2 days to set up because it wouldn't play music through Alexa but she would respond. She wouldn't pause or play but the next day suddenly everything worked. Now Alexa isn't working. When Alexa was working the volume was inconsistent with the music. For example if we asked alexa to play a song it would be really quiet, much quieter than Alexas voice, so we would turn up the volume. If you spoke to her whole music was playing her voice was insanely loud, even if the music wasn't loud. Not a massive deal except the volume of each so changed drastically. She would play one song really quiet and one song blasting. When we decided to test it out just connecting it as a normal speaker and playing our music not through Alexa it played all songs at proper volume. For the price point I think bose needs to fox the Alexa feature. I'm at a point debating on whether or not it's worth to keep the speaker or if I should swap for something else. Makes me really sad.

As the title suggests. Happy with the hardware but the app is so lacking in features it is making me reconsider the whole purchase.

The speakers keep ungrouping. Every day, overnight and often throughout the day. I've unplugged, reset and started the whole process again but they constantly ungroup. Infuriating.

The App is lacking a decent useable widget, and alarm setting, cross fading, and other features that would make such an expensive purchase worthwhile.

I purchased these Bose speakers due to the arrogance of Sonos and their latest app update which effectively made my three Sonos smart speakers redundant, only to discover that Bose don't actually have decent software for their speakers either. Should I have purchased 3 Amazon Studio speakers just to get some stability and synchronicity?

I bought it recently and I am delighted with the look/feel & the sound quality.

Bought this to replace an old Denon which suddenly stopped receiving AM radio signals. (My wife is an avid Smooth radio listener) I thought the Bose speaker would be a good replacement having the the availability of 6 preset buttons for my wife, and the wireless and blue tooth options for me. I did some research before purchasing ie. read the Bose online manual. Setup was quick and fairly simple for us octogenarians, but it quickly became apparent the preset buttons could not be set up for radio without premium subscriptions to Spotify or Apple play. So paying £11 for a subscription for the convenience of using the system to listen to the radio was a non starter. The user manual did not make this clear. Disappointing because the system looks good and sounds is excellent. System was returned to Bose.

We love Bose, having the lifestyle 48 and the wave radio, the 500 smart speaker gives out a great sound.

We have two issues -1) the buttons on top could do with being illuminated as it’s hard to see these when it’s a bit darker, 2) when the unit is off it has a handy clock but when the unit is in play mode the clock is missing.

We struggled a bit with the network set up and the unit isn’t compatible with our wave radio but on the whole very pleased.

Bose 500 speaker. Second one I've bought. How do they get such a rich sound from a small unit? Fantastic sound quality with a great base beat.

We purchased this last week. Plenty to explore on it yet, but very happy with the sound quality and the ease of using the product. Bose always a great product.

I only ever buy Bose products for listening to music and tv and this is by far the best speaker I have bought, I am very pleased with my other speakers but this just takes it up another level. Amazing sound from it, very pleased with it.

Great speaker, unrivalled sound. Only minor niggle is I have to use Alexa for radio streaming (Not a Google user and only have apple phones) which the speaker won't let me set up as a preset on the speaker, but does allow Spotify playlists to be set up which is cool.

Just set it up, and a bit tricky. No particular guidance for problems encountered, but did the tried and tested solution, by powering off & powering back on, and it worked

Bought the 500 after seeing and hearing the neighbours. Blown away by the sound. Had a soundwave 3 many years ago that was brilliant too. Found it easy to set up too.

I bought it a week or 2 back its been really good to me.

I love it. The sound and the base is very high quality and it’s easy to use and looks great.

Excellent sound quality as you'd expect from Bose, looks good too and simple to operate, the only slight criticism would be that the app which is really good needs a search function.

I bought this two weeks ago and overall very impressed , have to tweak the base when playing certain tracks . Would like the ring update as soon as available , having to use two alexa devices to hear door bell . Gets a bit confusing at times ther than that a great Music streaming speaker .

Really good sound which is what matters, but setting up is a nightmare. More written assistance would help, asking me to download the app and follow the instructions is not good enough. I still cannot play Spotify through the app as it won’t load the website properly. Also I now have 3 app for Bose kit none of which work with each other. Need to sort this out Bose

I purchased the BOSE home speaker 500 two weeks ago after a lot of research, and I am very happy with my decision. The sound quality is amazing with great bass and treble. It looks premium and justifies its price tag completely. Unlike some of the other premium smart speakers in the market today, it offers bluetooth along with wifi, which is great. Amazon Music integration works really well, although I wish the Apple Airplay latency would have been better.

I have had this for just over a week now and overall am impressed. It maintains Bose's reputation for quality and value. There are a couple of issues which I would mention. Setting it up to work with Alexa is a nightmare. If you are in the UK you need to set the voice to English UK, rather than the default US and there is a noticeable delay in giving a command and it being executed. The online instructions are not very clear . Also, the preset buttons are not compatible with Alexa. Overall however, the good far outweighs the
