The best blender I've ever had, super easy to use, with an incredible security system, easy to clean

You need a powerful blender to to grind soyabeans for fresh tofu (beancurd), and the Philips 1400W does it beautifully. Also great for homemade peanut butter and blended soups. Perfect results every time.

So powerful that one will hardly notice any pulp if it is used as a juicer.

Olen iloisesti yllättänyt. Laitteella saa aivan ihanan pehmeää smoothieta ja nopeasti. Täytynee vielä kokeilla mantelimaitoa ym. mutta tähän saakka paras blenderi mitä olen kokeillut. Onhan se kovaääninen, mutta ei edes se haittaa :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, a gadget must earn its place in the kitchen. It’s a big blender, so it really needs to earn it, but this one does. It does what it does very well, and it’s easy to clean. It looks professional and expensive, and makes my humble kitchen look better.

Out of the box, you get a tall, serious-looking piece of kit, comprising a large base unit, with a tall glass jug on the top.The device is excellent for smoothies, ice cream etc.

Great simple settings - the best thing is the quality of product - its so sturdy and heavy - everything clicks and feels solid.

This comes with a amazing Recipe book with 36 recipes that do not demand too many ingredients, just a few fruits and vegies commonly found in local Supermarkets or online and a few other ingredients already available in most homes such as garlic, ice, cheese, pepper and olive oil. There is an App for it, the Health Drinks App (Google App tore and Apple Store).

It is certainly powerful! That price tag gets you something that will pulverize almost anything you put in it. It will make soups and purees and smoothies, of course, and will swirl everything around top to bottom so you don't end up with lumps.

This is an phenomenal blender! It liquidises anything you throw at it. I rate it as outstanding — both in performance and looks.

Now the more important how I lost 4.5lbs!!!

It was so simple, thanks to Philips Blender I have added green smoothies to my diet, drink everyday after work, before I start prepare dinner! So simple and so effective.

The motor is powerful but seems to not be ventilated properly at low revs under high stress (such as when blending frozen fruit).

If you want to make a frozen smoothie, it would be best if you add the fruit in small batches so the motor always spins at a comfortable speed and keeps itself cool, otherwise it will burn itself out as has happened to us.

Overall I give it 5 stars for the price and capability, but if you need something that will work no matter what you throw at it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The controls are simple with a dial to turn on and can be used to set the speed of the blender manually otherwise there is a smoothie and ice crushing mode and a “P” mode which might be a Pulse mode but Instructions aren’t very clear.

There are small suction cups for feet which hold the base down, making it easier to attach/detach the jug.

It’s easy to clean, the only minor issue is removing the blade from the jug can be difficult due to the seal.

Smoothies come out very well. With other blenders I have used, the skin of fruits like grapes/apple can remain in fairly large pieces after blending, but this blender does a good job and seems to blend the skin into finer pieces.

I have also made a few vegetable soups, all coming out very smooth and consistent. I have had good results with and without the spatula attachment, so I’m not sure how much it helps, but it’s definitely useful when scraping out the jug.

In conclusion, this is a good solid blender with a clean modern design that is easy to use. From what I have blended so far its had no trouble blending fruits/vegetables or ice, producing good results every time.
