Arvosana 5/5The Bose QuietControl 30 Headphones have got to be some of the best Bluetooth headphones I have tried … and I’ve tried a good number of pairs over the years. When you take them out of the beautifully designed box, you are presented with a set of headphones that feel great to the touch and are as comfy to wear as they are good to look at. In the box are three different sizes of ear buds in order that you can make them fit your ears to benefit the most from the noise cancelling capabilities. Switching them on, they are easily paired with my iPhone and by using the Bose app, the pairing was a breeze. One neat little option in the app is to rename the headphones … don’t worry ion you cannot come up with anything inspirational or unique … the random name generator means that you will never have a pair of headphones named the sea was your friends. Within the app you are able to control the level of background noise you want to let into your ears. With a quick swoosh of the dial you are able to block everything out and concentrate on why you really bought the headphones … the sound quality. Even without the app the ability to alter the noise cancelling level on the headphone cable is helpful and incredibly easy to use. When playing music the QuietControl 30 headphones offer an incredibly superior and sophisticated sound. The range of sound is incredible and the quality of the top and bottom ends of the range is quite something. With the noise control set to fully block out noise around you you could be in the middle of a Viennese Concert Hall immersing yourself in a Mozart recital or jumping to the mosh pit of a Guns and Roses gig. You will be transported to a different world. The headphones work equally well with movies and television shows on your computer or tablet. With the iPad I was able to follow the helicopter around my screen the experience of actually being in the movie. One feature of the design I like is the fact that, with the neckband, when outside you can wear only one earbud if that is your preference for safety. Equally, you can set the app to let in as much background noise as you wish to keep you safe when out walking or running at night. I am delighted with these headphones and, I hope that I can continue to benefit from their quality in years to come. They have hugely exceeded my expectations - the sound reduction is superb, and the audio quailty excellent. Although happy with the design, battery life and sound I was not prepared to buy the same product due to the lifespan. So after a lot of searching, comparing haggling (in my own mind). I had to treat myself to the pair of QC30. Initially to be honest I was slightly put off by the neck band... But with the battery life, Bose superior sound quality, I had to go for the plunge... Well I have only just charged them for the 1st burst of sound enjoyment. The neck band is not really that much of an issue, it feels good and sits right, I can’t foresee any real irritation or discomfort after long periods of usage, quite comfortable to be fair. Anyway, the sound and noise cancellation is nothing that I have really experienced before. Years ago I was a proud owner of another Bose noise cancelling headphones, but that was nothing compared to these wonder earphones. Having the ability to change the noise reduction as you see fit is ideal and really easy to do via the Bose Connect app. So when I am work I can reduce the n/r so that I can converse with work colleagues and whilst I am home with the wife watching her oh so wonderful Australian soaps, I can cut myself off, listen to music and read, without even hearing a drop of noise! Granted I will have to upgrade the fire alarm with LEDs as to get a visual alarm, but that’s the only downfall! Anyway with the n/r fully activated I can’t find a fault with the full solid sound. I listen to all genres of music from classical to trance, opera to rock and after testing wow - as Delboy would say lovely jubbly! Anyway enough, just buy a pair if you are in the market for one - don’t bother with the rest. Babies crying and the timely announcements from the pilot during the flight when the lights are low and 90% of the passengers are (were) asleep. Quality, comfort in ear and on the neck and easy to take out of the ear but leave on the neck. Apple are ok but when travelling it is so easy to loose one. Noise cancelling is great and so easy to use on a plane, train etc. Would go for the quality of the Q30 every time. Arvosana 5/5I just bought these as a replacement for my QC-20s which I thought I had lost. I know it's a bit indulgent but although the QC-20s have now been found - these are definitely not going back. They are quite the most comfortable in ear phones I have had - that together with the innovative variable noise cancellation and Bluetooth connection. The neckband is clever idea - not particularly obtrusive. The only downside is that being a rigid neckband means a slightly larger case and therefore a bit bulkier to carry round. As expected the sound quality is true BOSE - I would expect no less. I have to keep my phone in a front breast pocket for best connection. The amount of noise they block while doing high speeds on motorways is fabulous and it means I can still get my navigation directions. Arvosana 5/5I've been a life long Bose lover, so when these came out, I just knew I had to have them. So on the day I received these, I couldn't wait to open the box and use my Bose headphones. As always, the box has a feel of luxury to it and is a very detailed and great packaging. The headphones also normally come with a full charge, so I could use them straight from the box. It's the very first headphones I've owned with a neck brace, so it's one of these things you'll either love or loath. I for one love it, it's super light, you wouldn't even know it's there and as it has its battery in it, you don't have to have an extra battery pack separately to the headphones, which is a great idea. The feel of the headphones are also amazing and you know you have a quality product in your hands and you just know he headphones are going to be great. The ears for perfect as they came, but Bose does add 2 other sizes you can swap to, in case you have bigger/smaller ears. To switch them on, it's as simple as pushing the button on the brace and pairing them with your phone or Bluetooth device. The great things is, if you have any other Bose Bluetooth products, they'll auto recognise your device and work straight away, so no messing around with codes, etc.. Bose also has a great feature, where a voice will tell you it's on, the charge level and what your connected through, so again super easy and so much better than other brands, that might have a set of beeps to tell you the same. Then the sound, I tried them on first in my busy living room with lots of people, so turned them on and all of a sudden it was quiet. I couldn't hear the people, tv or the dog barking, they were amazing and really made things quiet. I then played some music on my phone and the sound was stunning. Very good sounds, bass where needed and treble when needed. I felt so relaxed and in my own zone, I nearly fell asleep in the middle of the day, so peaceful and relaxing. So to finish off my review: I love Bose and would always choose them above any other supplier, because of the build quality, ease of use, sound quality and longevity of the battery. Arvosana 5/5Hi, before receiving the QC30'S I've been using the bose soundport wireless earphones. I didn't think bose could improve on the ones I already had. I was wrong. The neck band fitted perfectly and after a few minutes of use you would notice it at all. The QC30'S came with 80% charge so I used them straight away and tasted out the noise cancelling to see how good they could be. Couldn't hear the TV or the wife whilst trying them out. So after a couple of hours quality sound I put them on charge to fully tested them out the next day. Wore them for a shopping trip round town on my own and loved every minute of it. Could drop the noise reduction when needed and when I got home still had 50% battery left. Sold completely with these now. Arvosana 5/5I have been using these headphones for a month and am very happy with them. I used to have noise reduction Bose headphones with cables so the quality of the sound was not a surprise but the practicality really makes a difference. Going around airports or travelling by train or bus is a completely different experience as it is so practical and easy to do it without sacrificing the quality of the music. The battery life is enough for a day outside going around. The collar could be seen as awkward but there are ways of integrating it to the clothes or scarf so you forget you have it there.
