Wonderful Headphones - Disastrous Connection.
I recently bought replacement ear pads for my QC 25 Earphones. I then discovered that the jack connecting my device to the headphones was not functioning properly and I now see the replacement cable is out of stock. I was looking forward to using my headphones (as I usually do) on my journeys. When will you have a replacement cable available and can you guarantee the robustness of the connection?

Great headphones but very fragile cable
My husband and I both have a set each, great product, good sound but is let down by the cable jack which bends very easily. Mine has broken altogether and I have ordered replacement. Husbands is bent and likely to fail at any time.
What a shame this simple connection lets the product down
Poor quality cable
Very expensive headphones but the cable is rubbish. Very fragile jack plug.
Not sure if I can get a non Bose one for less money. Extremely disappointing.
not up to the job
like so many other people the plug bent with very little movement when plugged into the aircraft system. So no noise cancelling, no quality sound for the 14 hours of flights on the way home. Really very poor for a supposedly premium product. This was the first time using them on planes!
Less than robust cable
A Christmas present and only used a few times and only on flights. As with most complaints on this site the jack has broken. We own other Bose pieces of equipment and love the quality and design but sadly disappointed with the quality of this cable.
Excellent sound quality - dreadful cable.
Have had these headphones since the start of the year and have used regularly at home and work and have been blown away by the sound quality and the effectiveness of the noise cancelling in most situations.
I bought them in anticipation of a flight and, like many other people here, saw the connector cable break in the in flight entertainment system with very little force applied. Then spent the next 7 hours using some awful airline headphones. If I hadn’t been spoiled by the quality of the QC25 sound, the airline headphones might have seemed adequate!
The replacement cost of the cable is exorbitant and I would seriously think about buying Bose products again as a result of this, along with the couldn’t care less experience I had in the Bose store informing me that they had no cable, so a long quiet flight home beckons.
Fragile connector
I have had a similar experience to most of the reviewers on here, attached to in flight entertainment system when it was nudged slightly and then it snapped. Left soundless for a 14 hour flight. Not what I expect from such high price headphones.
Terrible
As everyone says here, you buy a premium product at significant cost and an essential component is flimsy rubbish. I'm on my third. First broke in the socket. Second the volume and mic didn't work from the moment I bought the replacement lead. It's my first Bose purchase and never again.
Very Fragile Cable
I love these headphones, but the cable is way too fragile - on a flight I plugged them into the inflight entertainment and the connector snapped to the side when my neighbour moved the armrest slightly. Now the headphones only play out of one ear. The replacement is very expensive and I wouldn't feel confident using them on an airplane again.
Really fragile cable connection
Buying a second replacement. The purpose of The headphones is to use when I have to fly long haul economy. Each time I have done so with these (two times out of two) the plug where it connected into the airline socket broke - necessitating a further £21.95 purchase. Not good.
Awful Quality
I bought these a few months back. And the cable connector broke when using them for only the second time. It broke with only the slightest of pressure when pushing it into the headphone socket on the plane. I now have to look forward to a seven hour flight with no headphones. Very disappointed with the quality of these. I always thought Bose was a premium product.
Good headphones - appalling cable durability.
I bought new headphones to replace ones I bought 15 years ago. The headphones are still good but I am now having to replace the cable for the second time in less than 6 months - not cheap and certainly not what I expected from Bose.
My old headphones are still going strong and have never had any problems with the cable. Shame I've given them to my brother!
Very disappointing. Considering all the negative feedback given regarding the cable, I have yet to see a response from Bose to suggest any efforts are being made to improve the product.
Great headphones, bad audio cable
This is the best example of designing best in class head phones but alos the best example of worst audio cable manufacturing by BOSE, fix it plz
Really Dissapointed with the quality
Probably what most people have experienced - Poor quality cable. This is my third visit in search of the cable replacement and i'd say am one of the most careful people when it comes to taking care of these things. Easily losses connection mainly from the headphone. For what I paid for it, I expected it to have lasted a few weeks....Wondering if it's worth investing in another one - my guess is as good as yours...
Poor quality cable
Ver poor quality cable. Jack snapped off in device. Very disappointing given cost of these headphones.
Jack snapped off on a flight
Similar experience to everyone else, very easily damaged, jack snapped clean off on a flight. Expensive to replace for what it is...
Cable a Disappointment
I bought my QC25's from Duty Free in Australia, unfortunately the jack plug was bent during the flight back to the uk after a minor knock. I love the sound from the headphones but a real disappointing experience overall, as I couldn't use them for the rest of the flight.
Great headphones, poor quality device connector
Similar to other reviews....I previously had QC10's, which I happily used on many airplane flights around the globe. I decided to upgrade to QC25s, but I wish I had not. The quality of the headphones is great but the cable connector (the end that connects to the audio device) is poor quality. It bends easily. Mine was broken off when a neighbouring airplane passenger accidentally sat on my cable. For the price of the headphones the cable connectors should be more robust.
Disappointed with Bose
I agree with the majority of the reviewers here that this earphone is great but not it's cable. The jack (if that is what it is call) is extremely fragile. Can't Bose do something about the on going issue with this cable?
Substandard cable connector on QC25 headphones
I own a lot of Bose products including QC25 headphones. The cable connector snapped inside the iPad socket after a minimal knock. Had to pull bits out of the iPad socket and buy a new cable. Reading these reviews its clear I am not alone in thinking that despite high prices and good sound quality it feels like there is some corner cutting is taking place.
Poor cable quality
Great headphones, but I have been very disappointed by the quality of the inline cable which has let me down after what I consider to be a relatively shot time given the price of the headphones. I’ve always considered the Bose label to represent a level of quality in there products until this cable let me down.
Love the headphones, disappointed in the cable
I had these for a present from my wife and they have transformed the experience of flying. Brilliant. happily give them 5stars but the cable connector for connecting to the airplane or other devices is of very poor quality and very fragile and lacking a 90degree connector own the 3.5 end. The slightest knock and it bent and now doesn't work. Just checking the price of a replacement and they are charging enough for it.
Dreadful quality cable lets great headphones down
Like others in now on my third replacement cable in two years after the jack bent when I caught the cable on a train seat armrest today and it was pulled out of my phone suddenly. I love my QC25 headphones but the persistent poor quality of this vital accessory lets a great product down. Sort it out Bose.
Excellent quality when the cable survives
Just got off a flight to Shanghai & I now have to last 2 weeks without my headphones due to the guy next to me catching the cable when he got out of his seat. 2nd time this has happened since I bought them about 18 months ago. I know they cannot be indestructible but I don;t hear the same comments on other products. I now have to spend money on a replacement cable knowing it will probably last less than a year again even though I am careful.
