Holiday Club signs major air source heat pump agreement with Verkkokauppa.com

Holiday Club is a well-known Finnish travel company with 2,200 holiday apartments and 1,086 hotel rooms in Finland. Founded in 1986 and employing nearly 700 people, the company has been looking after Finnish holidaymakers for decades. It has seven beloved resorts, the largest being Holiday Club Katinkulta in Vuokatti and Holiday Club Saimaan Rauha in Lappeenranta.

“We have a total of about 20,000 beds in Finland, and more locations are being completed,” says Holiday Club's Procurement Manager Ismo Karjalainen.

Efficient processes

Karjalainen has worked for Holiday Club since 2022. That same year, the company began its partnership with Verkkokauppa.com.

“The processes work exactly as well as they should when ordering from an efficient online store,” he says.

In addition to individual equipment needs, Verkkokauppa.com has quickly become an important and reliable supplier for Holiday Club's major procurement projects. After winning a competitive tender two years ago, Verkkokauppa.com has delivered over 1,000 air source heat pumps to Holiday Club's holiday apartments. The project is still ongoing, with the final number approaching 1,400 pumps.

“This is a significant contract in terms of value. The Verkkokauppa.com team provided a very clear proposal, and the materials we received hit the mark,” Karjalainen says.

Thanks to the clear information package, Holiday Club was able to justify the energy savings and costs of the air source heat pumps to the property companies' stakeholders.

“Most of the pumps have now been installed, but the project is ongoing.”
