LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B 45-Inch 5K2K Flat Screen Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for console play only. Got a great deal. Realy happy with this 2026 upgraded model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You understand why these are called ultra wide when sitting in front of one. Takes a bit of getting used to after using a 16:9 screen which was a lg 48 inch c1 . This screen is much brighter. Very impressed. Would recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly don’t know what more to say 10/10, the colour, immersion, vivid pop, the blacks, all phenominal

Vaihdoin Samsung G9 Odyssey OLED:stä. 800R kaari on todella hyvä verrattuna Samsungin 1800R.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrade from another 49 inch super ultrawide monitor because I needed a higher resolution. I am so glad I chose this monitor it is amazing. Will be buying another for my sim racing setup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this solely for gaming and nothing compares it’s absolutely amazing , I’m using a RTX 4090 in my pc and my laptop connected through the usb-c has a 5080 and the picture quality and performance are second to none much prefer the aspect ratio of 21:9 over 32:9 I had a Samsung g something 52inch ultra wide 32:9 didn’t like it got rid and got this and i wasn’t disappointed I can’t comment on the stand never used it as I have mine on a arm , obviously with a monitor of this spec you need power to get the most out of it luckily I do and it’s well worth the extra layout if you can afford it , I have put a PS5 Pro on it but because of the 21:9 you get the black bands either side or you can stretch the image but that kind of spoils it so if your a console gamer this monitor is well over kill and you will be disappointed stick with a 16:9 4K LG do plenty of those 🙂

Siirryin 32" 4k IPS paneelista tähän, silmä tottui nopeasti jyrkkään kaareen ja immersio on loistava. Kuvan laatu aivan mahtava. 32" 4k tuntui liian kapealta ja 49" 32:9 liian matalalta joissain peleissä. Ei ehkä tuote nuorelle pelaamisen turhan vakavasti ottavalle henkilölle, mutta pelaamisesta nauttivalle setämiehelle aivan loistava ostos nautinnollisempaan pelikokemukseen. Hinta vieläkin aika kova vaikka tarjouksessa olikin, normihinnalla olisi jäänyt hyllyyn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the LG 45GX950A-B for a while, here are my honest thoughts on the experience—including what impresses me and a few areas with room for improvement:

Curvature & Viewing Experience:

My first impression of the screen curvature is that it feels a bit aggressive. Sitting too close creates noticeable visual fatigue—almost giving the sensation that it might strain your eyes or worsen your eyesight over time. However, sitting further back doesn't feel entirely natural either, so finding the optimal viewing distance takes some adjustment.

Connectivity & Audio Integration:

For a flagship monitor, it's disappointing that it lacks HDMI ARC support. Since many setup configurations—including 5.1 PC speaker setups and LG soundbars—benefit from ARC, missing this feature makes pairing with high-end audio systems unnecessarily inconvenient.

Color Performance & Anti-Glare Coating:

The color performance is outstanding, with rich and accurate color output. However, due to the anti-glare / matte coating, the screen loses a bit of clarity and transparency compared to monitors like MSI's glossy or semi-glossy displays, which feel a bit more vibrant and crystal-clear.

Summary:

Overall, it is a top-tier flagship monitor with incredible color accuracy. If LG could refine the curvature ergonomics, include HDMI ARC support, and tune the screen coating for better visual clarity, it would be virtually perfect. Hope LG takes this feedback into account for future designs!
