No plumbing required but it has the ability to deliver ice cubes, crushed ice and chilled water at the touch of a button thanks to the large container you can keep topped up in the fridge. Also great sized freezer and huge fridge, partly due to the large storage capacity in the fridge door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer is fine but the icemaker is a bit troublesome. I didn't plugged it to the main waterline and tried to feed it manually andnit didn't worked either. Complete failure from that point of view. The rest works perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this a month ago and it brilliant, the kids don’t stand with the door open anymore, the temperature is easily adjustable, it holds all the food we need for a family of five, the compartments on the door are large enough for anything and it’s quiet and not put our electric bill up, overall very happy with the fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product but beware if you need to remove the doors to get it into the room then you will need to remove the bottom door brackets, which is by no mea s an easy job as the bolts are underneath and are not very accessible without leaning the refrigerator backwards to get a percusion drill in! And you need to do the same to refit the brackets! Not as well designed as my old premium ez digital which was working but past it's best and getting noisy!

Our LG fridge is working perfectly. It is so handy to have water, ice and crushed ice dispensed from the fridge. The freezer space could be a little large as it is quite compact. The fridge space is great. Very much enjoying the use of our new fridge. I have also connected it to ThinQ, which is useful. I am trying to register my AC unit for warranty too but this is not working on the website and the team I have emailed has not responded in 3 weeks, which is disappointing.

Quality product slightly bigger than our old fridge freezer but you can store so much more !

My previous fridge was no longer meeting our family needs so I decided to go for an American style fridge freezer this time. Since I own quite a few of LG devices and I am extremely happy with them, of course my first choice was an LG fridge freezer. The appliance arrived packed extremely robust and every part of it was well protected. The first thing you notice when looking at the fridge freezer is the black glass Instaview window which gives the appliance a very sleek, appealing and ‘expensive’ look. The rest of the fridge is in silver colour. As our kitchen in an open plan, everyone sees the fridge and every single visitor commented how great it looks. With 635L total (incl 416L for refrigerator), there is enough space for everything and no need to stacking things one on another ever again! There are 4 spacious shelves, 1 drink/ bottle shelf, 2 drawers and 4 in-door compartments giving a family of 4 more than enough space to store their food. I really like the idea of the Instaview door where with 2 gentle knocks, the light goes on and you can see the fridge contents through the door. Kids have fun using this option too. My complete favourite is the in cold water/ ice cubes/ crushed ice dispenser. Once you fill in the water container, the fridge starts to make ice for you and only stops if there is no more water or if the ice compartment is full. We have had a BBQ last weekend and we have used most of the ice but by the next day, the ice container was full again. It makes life so much easier, all you do is to add some water and the fridge will take care of the rest for you. Dispensing water or ice could not be simpler – you just press relevant option to select, then push and hold the button on the dispenser for your selection to appear. I have also noticed is how much longer the fruit and veg stay fresh when kept in the drawers. Salads, tomatoes, cucumbers – it all remained so fresh and crispy for several days past the best before dates. What is also worth mentioning is how quiet the fridge is comparing to our previous one. You can hardly hear it apart from the occasional sound of ice maker taking water and emptying the ice tray to the ice maker compartment. Certain features, like temperature, can be controlled via the LG thinkQ app so I would definitely recommend getting the app. Overall, really good fridge that exceeded our expectations.

Let me start off by saying that this majestic fridge freezer is an absolute BEHEMOTH! The colossal size means that it can store all the food stuffs – I’m talkin’ milk, cheese, fruit, veggies, eggs, ketchup (it belongs in the fridge), jams, and not to mention all the space for all of your preferred beverages in the impressively spacious door shelves and wine rack, and all of your frozen delights in the equally impressive freezer.

The “Knock Twice” door is a nifty feature that’ll grant you visual access to your chilled treats without letting the cold out and warm in – That’s a pretty nifty feature and it’s fun.

If, like me, you love nothing more than a hefty glass of icy cold water, but you have a cold tap that doesn’t like to dispense water cooler than tepid, this snazzy beast has you covered. It has a water AND ice dispenser (including crushed ice), but doesn’t require plumbing. This is extra handy if you’re a renter, you live in a flat or you just don’t want to plumb your fridge in. Just fill up the 4L water tank that’s housed in the fridge and place it in its’ holder and it’ll feed both the ice and water dispenser. Peasy!

The “E” energy rating isn’t great, but I couldn’t care less. I’ll be saving energy by using the “Knock Twice” feature instead of repeatedly opening the door to see if any new snacks have appeared since I last checked 5 minutes ago. I’d say it balances out. You can also check on and control it through the ThinQ app! I’m trying to think of any cons, but I got nothin’. So, there you have it - I’m in love with a fridge freezer.

The 'Door Cooling' and 'Linear Cooling' technologies are standout features. Door Cooling ensures even cooling throughout the fridge, which helps keep your food fresher for longer by minimizing temperature fluctuations. Linear Cooling works to maintain a more consistent temperature, which is crucial for food preservation. The Smart Inverter Compressor is energy-efficient and operates quietly. It adjusts cooling power based on the amount of food stored, helping to reduce energy consumption.

Smart Features:

Being Wi-Fi connected , the fridge integrates with smart home systems, allowing you to control and monitor it remotely via an app. You can adjust the temperature, receive alerts, and even diagnose issues without needing to be physically near the appliance.

Energy Efficiency:

With an E rating, this model may not be the most energy-efficient fridge on the market and for those who are conscious of energy conservation. However, considering its size and features, the energy consumption is within a reasonable range. The Smart Inverter Compressor contributes to energy savings, but if you are looking for a more eco-friendly option, you might need to explore higher-rated models.

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the model, primarily because of its consistent cooling and anti- frost performance. This has helped to maintain and preserve the freshness of my groceries which was a paramount concern for me. The only downside to the model is the energy rating, but for the amount of benefits this fridge freezer reaps, this is something I am willing to compromise on.

Delivery - this is a huge fridge which is even larger when in its box, we managed to get it through a single door on our conservatory by taking it out of the box and taking the doors off - which was very straight forward.

The first feature on the LG GSVV80PYLL anyone notices is the instaview window, you can knock on the glass twice to see inside without opening the door, which helps save energy in the long run, I’m yet to see the full impact of this feature in regards to energy saving. Aesthetically it sleek & modern with a stainless steel finish which is finger print resistant, this helps when you’ve got children running around. The look of it has impressed anyone who has visited.

Internally there's plenty of space inside, with adjustable shelves and large door bins for storing different items. The freezer is well-organised & bright, making it easy to find what you need.

This fridge connects to Wi-Fi, allowing you to control it through the SmartThinQ app on your phone along with all your other LG WiFi enabled devices. You can adjust the temperature and get alerts if the door is left open, which is very beneficial. This model also includes an ice and water dispenser which is non plumbed which made it easier to install for us. The 4 litre water tank is plenty, I like to replenish the water the night before so it’s chilled the next day.

Conclusion -

I find the LG GSVV80PYLL to be one of the most stylish fridge freezers on the market, it also has the practicality & technology to be a brilliant choice for anyone who has the budget & space to accommodate it.

Delivery and Installation: When I needed to replace my refrigerator I opted for the LG GSVV80PYLL. This model does not require a connection to the water supply in order to feed the ice maker; there's a container inside that you just need to keep topped up so it just needed to be left for a few hours before I was able to switch it on.

Design and Build Quality: The refrigerator has a stainless-steel finish with a darkened window (InstaView) which lights up allowing you to see what's inside without opening the door. This option promises to reduce cold air loss and keep energy usage low but in reality it seems a bit gimmicky.

Performance: I was initially a little sceptical regarding the performance because if my refrigerator keeps my milk cool and it freezes the things that are supposed to be frozen then I'm happy. This refrigerator has 'Linear

Cooling technology' ensuring that the temperature remains consistent throughout the fridge which is supposed to keep food fresher for longer but this is hard to confirm.

The Door Cooling+ feature is actually quite impressive. It delivers cold air to the door compartments, ensuring that items like milk and juices are just as cold as those stored deeper inside the fridge. Freezer Functionality: The freezer compartment of the refrigerator is large enough for a small family and it's well organised. It includes several drawers that glide smoothly and provide ample storage for frozen goods. The frost-free feature means I never have to defrost it manually, which saves a lot of hassle. Ice and Water Dispenser: The built-in ice and water dispenser is a nice feature but it would be better is it was connected to an external water supply. The ice dispenser provides both cubed and crushed ice which is a bonus and the water is filtered.

Smart Connectivity: The LG GSVV80PYLL is equipped with LG's ThinQ technology, which allows you to control and monitor the refrigerator remotely via an app on your phone. This seams like a solution that was looking for a problem to solve.

Energy Efficiency: The energy efficiency rating is 'E' which means it is quite thirsty.

Noise Level: You cannot really hear the refrigerator, with very minor exceptions, but this only lasts for a few seconds.

Overall Value: The LG GSVV80PYLL seems quite expensive and you can certainly get a cheaper refrigerator but on a positive note it's a good overall appliance.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a family refrigerator this one is worth considering.
