The XPLORA X6 Play smartwatch phone comes with a pre-installed SIM card from XPLORA Mobile Oy. The phone and the guardian's XPLORA app are linked together, and the XPLORA phone will not function without this link. The subscription costs €11/12/13 per month, depending on the chosen plan at the activation page. Prices include free calls, messages, and data usage in the EU/EEA area. As of July 1, 2023, Xplora will charge a service fee for using the guardian's app if the customer has a subscription with an operator other than Xplora. This service fee applies only to new activations of Xplora's smartwatch phones. The change does not affect current Xplora users. The service fee for the guardian's app is €9.90 (including VAT) per month. Paying this service fee is a prerequisite for the watch to function with the guardian's app.

The service fee covers the use of Xplora's guardian app with the watch as well as access to Xplora's activity platform.
