Tällä tuotteella _ei_ ole valmistajan Seagaten myöntämää 3vuoden takuuta, eikä 3vuoden "Rescue Data Recovery" -palvelua. Nämä asiat mainitaan sivuilla olevan tuotelinkin kautta Seagaten sivuilla.
Seagate vastasi kyselyyn tuotteesta näin "your drive originates from China. In this case, I kindly request that you contact the place of purchase and return the drive, as you will not be able to proceed with the data recovery or replacement process through Seagate. "
Seagate on aiemmin maininnut Verkkokaupan olevan heidän "trusted partner" jonka kautta voi ostaa Seagaten takuulla ja lisäpalveluilla olevia Retail tuotteina. Näin ei taida enää olla?
