Excellent cropping capability but held back by a lack of auto-subject detection. Manually changing results in missing shots.

I loved my Sony a9, which for clarity was the first edition of this model series. It replaced my Sony a99, that in turn was an upgrade from my a700. I am unashamedly a jpeg only shooter but wanted the benefit of the a7rv’s subject recognition features and of course, the vast step up of mega pixels. I am a great fan of Sony’s Clear Image Zoom feature, which I’m pleased is on this camera. Now that I have set my camera’s controls to mimic those that I was used to, I am delighted with my purchase, it is well worth the upgrade in every sense for the use that I will be giving this camera. And of course, it will bring great benefits from my existing FE and E mount lenses.

Upgraded from a 7R3 - a very good camera in itself but I really feel the 7RV is much improved in all areas. It's refreshed and renewed my love of photography and makes more possible some of the photos I want to create.

My girlfriend bought me my dream camera and I'm totally loving it. A lot to explore and learn. It feels so premium and well made.

I have had this camera just over a year and already having trouble with the auto focus not working at all, having too turn the camera on and off several times also not very sharp pictures under 400th of a second. Now looking at sending it off to Sony to have it looked at.

Not sure if it is an issue with my camera but never been overly impressed from the start.

Tarkennus toimii huonosti. lintujen tarkennus erittäin huonosti. Linnun pitää olla lähellä. lähellä olevaan saa tarkennettua tavallisella tarkennuksella.

Käyttöjärjestelmä on epälooginen ja sekava verrattuna muihin kameroihin.

so far this camera has been amazing to use for my concert photography.

fast,light and has great features

I bought this camera over a month and am very pleased with it. It does as they on the tin. It is more than enough for me. Thank you Sony.

A fantastic purchase. Form factor is brilliant and the quality is outstanding.

This camera has an unmatched super high resolution viewfinder, and along with the 20-70mm lens is knocking on the door of G-Master lens quality without the weight, the balance in the hand is perfect.

Purchased my first one when introduced in 2022 and loved it.

Then after a diversion into the Leica SL range excellent but too heavy and far to expensive, I have just again purchased another A7RM5 in 2026!

Great resolution, class leading AF and super handling.

Had this camera before and thought the Nikon Z8 had a better feature set so I swapped to it... I was wrong, I've since come back to Sony and never been happier with the speed, image and functionality they offer.

I bought the Sony A7RV + 24-70mm GMII on Black Friday in 2025 and have been extremely impressed by it so far. I switched away from fujifilm for the past 10 years so am still getting used to the Sony ecosystem, but the autofocus and image quality is like nothing I’ve ever experienced with Fuji. Very happy indeed.

Bought just over a month ago . Its an amazing price of kit . My third sony and second full frame. Having used the a74r the menus were easy to navigate . I'm looking forward to getting some amazing pictures with it.

Bought this for the resolution, paired it with the 24-70 2.8 GM2. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to using it for landscape photography, and portraits.

What can I say, superb image quality, amazing auto focus, super IBIS, great ergonomics, consistent layout and design with other A7 models. For me the perfect camera. I am not a speed freak so the 10 frames per second is more than adequate, I was brought up in the age of film where 10 frames per second was a merely dream.

I have only owned the A7R5 for a couple of weeks But I am already enjoying the improved focusing and speed of use.

Just bought and about to take on holiday for first time

The Sony A7R V stands out for its exceptional 61MP image sensor. As a wildlife photographer, I love it's brilliant autofocus, powered by AI subject recognition. The autofocus system reliably tracks even challenging subjects like birds and animals, while the camera’s speed and buffer depth add to the strong performance.

CAMERA IS GREAT IMAGES FOCUSING EXCELLENT. HOWVER, OLY AFEW MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE MEMORY SLOT1 DEVELOPED A MECHANICAL FAULT. IT DOES NOT RETAIN THE CARD IN PLACE AND I HAVE TO USE THE CAMERA BODY COVER TO KEEP IT IN PLACE.This I would not expect because this mechanism has been in USE for Decades and I have never had such a failure. I would declare that is not fit for purpose.

Olen käyttänyt kameraa noin kaksi viikkoa ja olen todella tytyväinen.

Good all round camera. I use as second body to A1. Excellent landscape performance.

I bought this camera just over a week ago and have been getting to grips with it. Very impressed with the results I have gotten so far. Still getting to grips with how to change settings as it seems a little fiddlier than the A99V I have been using for 10+ years. Happy with things and have two lens to play with. Just looking to add the grip as I find I like the feel of a camera with that in place.

Best all round camera ever . Image quality fantastic. I believe this is the only camera you would ever need
