Pohjoisen erämaissa toimi kaikkialla, vaikka viestien lähetys ja vastaanottaminen ei toki tapahdu nykyisten puhelimien nopeudella. Tekstin kirjoittaminen puhelimeen kytkettynä helppoa, pelkällä inreachilla hidasta.
