Great L series weather sealed super wide angle lens

Initial results have been very pleasing so far. Excellent compact, sharp and versatile lens. Noticeable difference in weight and size compared to my ef 16-35 f4 L plus the adaptor. Also, the extra 2° at the wide end makes quite a difference in the cover.

Erittäin nopea ja tarkkaa kuvaa tuottava objektiivi. Käy todella moneen kuvaustarpeeseen. Myös videokuvaukseen erittäin pätevä linssi.

That Canon got a 14mm lens within a 77mm filter thread is amazing, and it's sharp too. But there are some compromises, barrel distortion and quite a harsh vignette although both are correctable in sw. Overall a good lens if a little expensive

Excellent Optical image stabilizer. Very compact. I would also really like to get new professional prime lenses, for example: RF 35 F1.4L IS USM and RF 24 F1.4L IS USM.

Testien mukaan hyvänlaatuinen laajakulma-zoom RF-kiinnityksellä oli tarjolla 11/2023, hinnasta päästiin sopuun. Omat kokemukset ovat vielä vähäiset mutta positiiviset. Sopii kyllä myös revontulien kuvaamiseen.

Vaihdoin EF 11-24/f4 L:n tähän. Ero on huomattava monessa suhteessa, ennen kaikkea koossa ja painossa, jota lisäsi tarve käyttää EF-RF -sovitetta. 14mm laajassa päässä on myös riittävä tarpeisiini nähden, sitä laajempia kuvakulmia tarvitsen hyvin harvoin enkä niitä vuosien varrella oppinut kunnolla edes hyödyntämään. Optisesti ja mekaanisesti kelpo objektiivi, josta ei ole kuukauden käytössä löytynyt vikoja tai puutteita - niin kuin ei muistakaan lukuisista Canonin objektiiveista ja kameroista 36 vuotisen taipaleen varrella.

I absolutely love this lens. I have used it extensively since purchasing on Black Friday. Canon R6 mkii is the camera of choice. I have used for some wildlife, mainly Landscape in low and strong light conditions with Lee filter system. For general photography also this lens is a joy to work with and I would highly recommend.However if your a RAW file geek there is some vignetting but you can crop out

I had previously been using the outstanding EF 16-35 f4L IS USM on my EOS 7D II and had only purchased it about a year before I bought the EOS R7.

I used the EF 16-35 f4L IS USM on the R7 with the supplied adapter until the RF 14-35 f4L IS USM became available. Canon announced a double cashback deal so I jumped in with both feet.

The RF 14-35 f4L IS USM, when fitted to the EOS R7, is a very comfortable combination to handle.

The RF 14-35 f4L IS USM is very quick and silent to focus and has excellent coloration and sharpness characteristics. I also noticed a slightly increased contrast to that of the EF 16-35 f4L IS USM.

If you are on the brink of pulling the trigger - don't hesitate - I don't think you will be disappointed with the RF 14-35 f4L IS USM!

I took this away om holiday to the Utah national parks, where a wide angle lens is needed to get the views in, and the zoom allows you to frame exactly what you want. Great results, and would recommend this lens.

Had the lens for just a few months now and I am getting images I have never had before because of the wide angle, it's unbelievably sharp in all my images I take with it so pleased i purchased the 14-35mm lens highly recommend it if you are thinking of buying one.

I bought this lens a month ago, and I very happy with this, I thought that f4 would not be enough for night shooting ( video ) , but it turned out to be very good in conjunction with eos r6. thanks canon

Used first time out of the box and this lens seems every bit as bright as the EF 16 - 35 f4L IS USM, which is impressive in itself. The IS of the RF 14-35 f4L IS USM, coupled with the IBIS of the R5 seemingly enabled useful handheld images with a shutter speed of 0.5 s.

Amazing, really.

However, as it was the first time out with this lens, I kept, for some reason, losing the zoom ring and had to check where it was.

I purchased the lens around a month ago in time for the colours of Autumn.

The lens has a prestige quality feel to it and like the other RF lenses I own , they all have a common 77mm filter thread , which is great for simplicity when using filters.

Each of the three lens barrel sections have a different feel or texture , which makes them easy to use, when looking through the viewfinder or when they are hidden under a waterproof cover , as I experienced recently.

The lens is sharp from edge to edge , even at 14mm with minimal distortion.

There is a very slight vignette at 14mm if a polarising and ND filter are stacked together, but a very slight crop in at this focal length eliminates this.

I bought/upgraded to this lens very recently in readiness for a three week trip to Kenya to photograph wildlife. I had a range of lenses with me but this wide angle zoom came into action at an overnight waterhole hide when a group of animals came in to drink, namely six Zebra! Also the wonderful dawn and sunrise shots from the hide too. Plus a surprise display of Maasai Warrior men early one evening in full colourful regalia, chanting and jumping !

I definitely think this lens will find its way into my kit bag quite often now.

I bought this a month ago mainly because the RF24-105 f4 did not seem wide enough for landscape shots I’m glad I did because the extra wide shots you can achieve have made the difference. Lens is light and if you don’t need the faster version this is a great lens to have in your kit bag. Another quality lens from Canon

From day one of having this lens, I loved it and the results it gave. This is a superb lens and a must have for any budding landscape photographer. It also has a short focal length so it's pretty good for macro work too. Don't think about it, just buy it, you won't regret it.
