I had a PadFone 2 back in the day and although I loved the device, the software part was less than ideal, so I was a bit worried about the Zenfone 7, but I have to say, it delivered in both aspects.

I wanted a device with an OS as close to stock Android as possible and ASUS delivered, no useless mandatory apps, anything ASUS added serves a purpose and works well. Updates are frequent, just got Android 11 so security is not a concern.

I enjoy the great battery life and all the power saving options. Slow charging, timed charging, limited charging should all be a must in every phone.

The hardware is responsive, camera is great, pleasant to use. I really appreciate the cover that comes in the box - looks lice, but sturdy enough to protect the phone.

My only regret is to see the good old headphone jack go...

All in all, great device. It was pricey to get it at release, but I feel I got a phone that I am satisfied with and will serve me well for years to come.

Dropped the phone twice and the flip camera mechanism is now broken. Every time I lock or unlock my phone, the phone will try to activate the camera flip and it makes an annoying noise and vibrates 3-4 times. This is incredibly annoying and I regret buying this phone because it is not durable at all. I know it's my fault for dropping the phone, but who hasn't dropped their phone before? The phone should be able to handle a few falls.

I was happy otherwise even though the phone is very top heavy, but now would not consider buying this again.
