A great lens for portraits
I bought this lens as a replacement for an RF85mm F2 Macro that I accidentally dropped down the stairs of my home. Therefore I knew in advance what I was buying. The lens is great for portraits which is the primary reason for me buying the original one and then buying a replacement when the first one got damaged. The focus is quick and precise and the image quality is, in my opinion, perfect.

Laadukas ja nopea
Nopea automaattitarkennus ja hyvä valovoima. Liikuntasuoritteiden kuvaaminen sisähallissa onnistui matalalla ISO-arvolla ilman kohinaa. Objektiivi myös mukavan kevyt, mutta samalla kuitenkin jämäkkä ja laadukas.
Lovely lens
Really sharp and colour rich. I do not use it for macro or video. It sits very nicely on my R6. So, pleased I bought it!
Learning every day I use this lens.
Coming into its own now the flowers and wildlife are becoming more alive. I tend to find I either use the full focus or 0.35m to 0.50m and learning to adjust positioning to get the best shot with R7. Very pleased with the purchase of this lens.

I'm a nature photographer so I'm not going to spend my "big lens" money on short lenses. The 85mm F2 took my fancy and I'm pleased I took the plunge. It's great for portraits and has the added bonus of being usable for macro work too. Win-win lens!

Very sharp lens and a great addition to the Rf armoury
Although not an Canon L lens this is a very sharp and fulfils my requirements with acres to spare. It is well made and will not disappoint.
