The Variac Fuzz is an analog shortcut to happiness for vintage fuzz sound hunters. The VARIAC control adjusts the effect's voltage between 5V and 15V. Normally, as the 9V battery drains, the sound changes, becoming aggressive and biting. Increasing the voltage above 9V raises the effect's headroom, making the sound more open and transparent.
