the Canon EOS 250D is a versatile and user-friendly DSLR camera that's well-suited for beginners and enthusiasts. Its compact size, excellent autofocus, and 4K video recording make it a strong contender in the entry-level DSLR market. However, if you're a professional photographer or need more advanced features, you might want to consider higher-end models.

Years ago, I used slr cameras until the advent of digital, when I could not afford to replace all my kit, but could not get film cheaply enough. Have had an excellent Fuji bridge camera for 10 years, but always used it on automatic settings. A big birthday and my husband wanted to get me a dslr camera. Frightened by the cost and whether or not I would again take it off automatic settings as I'd forgotten everything I ever knew about slr photography, research led me to this Canon. Had it a month and it is brilliant. I have left the auto settings and the guide settings are brilliant and it's all coming back to me. Best decision I made.

The EOS 250D has the simplest most unique features and is very easy to use and it works with more than just the provided kit lens
