With its edgy sound and timeless design, the analog modeling microKORG synthesizer quickly climbed to the top of sales charts when it was released in 2002. Since then, the microKORG has made its way into the studios of musicians around the globe and is now receiving the update it deserves for today's needs.

The new microKORG S features a built-in 2+1 speaker system that packs a surprising punch for its size. The device sports a sleek white casing and comes loaded with an entirely new generation of presets. Under the hood, the microKORG S boasts a powerful and versatile sound engine. Its speaker system consists of a stereo speaker pair and a bass element, delivering impressive power and frequency response. Thanks to its innovative design, the casing acts as a bass reflex, significantly enhancing the speaker system's output while also creating a wide stereo effect. The familiar battery operation from the original microKORG, combined with the speaker system, allows for performances practically anywhere. The integration of the sound output with the device's casing means that the sound pressure can be felt at your fingertips while playing. This physical sensation brings the experience of playing the synthesizer closer to that of an acoustic instrument or even a Rhodes piano.

The device's memory capacity has been doubled compared to the original microKORG. Known for its punchy, stage-ready presets, this new version includes 64 fresh sounds tailored to modern needs, such as bright leads, electric pianos suited for band settings, and incredibly punchy basses. Additionally, there are now 64 empty memory slots for your own sounds, encouraging creativity and the development of unique versions from scratch. Another new feature is the eight favorite sound memory slots, making live performances even more convenient. The microKORG has enjoyed immense popularity for nearly 15 years, and the microKORG S introduces a speaker system while maintaining the classic look and compact size of the original device. The white front panel and maple wood ends exude quality.
