Weber Original Large Fish Grill Basket

I use this for the first time today to grill a salmon fillet and asparagus. It worked perfectly. Nothing stuck at all. I think the reason why others are having the fish or other item stick is because they are not properly preheating the basket. Just like any other cooking surface you have to preheat it before you put your protein or something on it or else it will stick. I left the basket unhinged in the grill while I preheated it. Once the grill was hot enough at about 500° I put my salmon and asparagus in it and locked the hinge. I let it grill on the skin side for about 5 minutes then flipped it over and grilled it on the other side. It worked perfectly in grilled perfectly even the skin got crispy which is the best.

It gives the food the best quality and brings it to the next level of taste.

Makes grilling fish so much easier. Spray the basket with light coat of cooking spray (like Pam). Salt pepper and garlic powder then light coat of olive oil on each side and cook on high heat for about 2 minutes per side- depends on thickness of the fish- and enjoy. Cleanup is easy- put the basket into the dishwasher. No fish sticking to the grill any more.

This is the perfect accessory for grilling fish. The basket makes turning the fish so easy. The filets don’t break apart and when done, come off without sticking.

We love to grill Salmon. The basket is perfect for that and I am sure much more.

I have what I guess is an old style basket with two clips - it would occasionally open if I was grilling a thick cut (Haddock). Does the new style with one clip have a more positive closure?

Great for fish. We grilled several center cut salmon filets and this basket allows you to place them directly on the grilling surface for a great smoke/char without worrying about sticking to the grill. The handle also makes turning over a breeze. We topped the filets with fresh dill sprigs and lemon slices and these stayed in place the entire time. 10/10
