[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with the LG 39GX950B. The 5K2K resolution looks fantastic at this size, 165 Hz is beautifully smooth, and the matte coating handles reflections exceptionally well without making the image look dull, which is a huge advantage in my room. Text clarity needed a little tweaking with grayscale antialiasing, but once configured it looks sharp, and the monitor also runs pleasantly cool for such a large OLED. My only minor complaint is that LG’s firmware update software has been unreliable and currently won’t detect the monitor properly over USB, even though the USB connection itself works. Overall, it’s an excellent balance of gaming, productivity and everyday desktop use.

I can have multiple windows open side by side, so I can research and write my essays without constantly switching between them. Very happy with it overall.

The size is one of the things I like most about it, especially for gaming, as it gives everything a much more immersive feel without feeling too overwhelming. The resolution is also excellent and makes games look really sharp and detailed. I’ve mainly been using it for gaming and I’m very happy with how it looks and performs.

I also really liked getting Crimson Desert included for free, which was a nice bonus and something I was genuinely happy to receive. Another thing I really like is the overall design. The bezels are clean and minimal and it doesn’t have that overly aggressive gamer look that a lot of gaming monitors have. It looks just as good sitting on my desk when I’m not gaming, which I really appreciate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this monitor a few months after I rebuilt my gaming pc for 4k gaming. A high end machine needs a top of the line display. After prompting a few AI systems, I was recommended an LG 45" inch wide screen display. At the time of researching, the 39GX950B had just been released and was being advertised as a marked improved monitor.

Since purchasing, I've replaced my dual monitor set up across gaming and programming to just using the single display, as it's replaced all my needs.

I have wanted one wide screen monitor for quite a while and when LG bought this one out I was impressed. As most of my kit is also Apple hardware I compared it with the 5g2g studio and decided this was the one to go for, well done LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid gamer and graphic designer, and I have been waiting for this model since the announcement. Did not disappoint. Text clarity is finally acceptable, HDR is mint, and I was pretty lucky with the panel lottery, as there's only minimal grey banding, which I hope will slightly diminish with panel usage. Also, as of now, zero dead pixels.

Considering its size and the resolution, I think it will become my personal favourite. 5K2K on a 39-inch ultrawide display might be the best invention since butter.

Slightly oversaturated reds out of the box, but nothing you can't adjust to your preference.

Gaming on this beast is a pure thrill. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive come from a 3 LG monitor IPS setup and felt the time had come to replace my 34 inch IPS with a 39 inch OLED. This is my first time gaming on an OLED and I simply LOVE IT !

Its a real game changer, I love my new monitor....expensive for sure, but if your on the fence DO IT ! you wont regret it. I'm running an RTX 5080 and use FG or DLSS to get 5k2k with the frames up for sure 100+ FPS. Its a trade off but I'm more than happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A terrific addition to my PC rig. I fly msfs 2024 an awful lot. A bit on the high side fir coat but what a massive enhancement to this flight sim. Had a 27" flat monitor previously. It takes a bit of setting up/configuring, but once done, absolutely well worth a bit of time doing so. Marvelous visuals and ths 39" 1500R curve is spot on for my flight sim. Colour, the blacks are exceptional. And it's a 5K/2K resolution. As you can guess, highly recommended for gamers. Word if caution, you'll require a piweful GPU to run it at 5K/2K Resolution. I have the GEFORCE RTX 5080.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Suprised how well it does in a bright room at 50% brightness. The Panel is very light, and gorgeous, colours are amazing. Text quality is alright, but given I come from 166ppi and 220 ppi is decent.

Overall I do recommend this monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jumping from a high-end fast IPS 4K 16:9 monitor, OLED panel really gives me quite a shocking experience with the wider angle! Everything respond even quicker so therefore almost seeing no motion blur.

I love the complete black the oled panel provide, but it took a little bit of time to get the colour right. The colour out of the box is a little bit washout due to the white element on the RGWB layout, but I managed to tune it to the colour I prefer. Overall still a superior to my previous IPS monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with the LG 39GX950B-B. The performance is excellent, especially when gaming. Playing Forza Horizon 6 feels incredibly smooth thanks to the high refresh rate, and the resolution is stunning, making the experience feel really immersive.

Connectivity is another strong point. It offers plenty of connection options, and the Dual Mode feature is particularly useful as it lets me easily connect and use my laptop alongside my main setup.

The setup process was very straightforward and didn't take long at all. The only thing worth noting is that the power supply comes with a fairly large power adapter, so you'll want to make sure you have somewhere to hide or manage it neatly.

Overall, it's a fantastic durable monitor with outstanding gaming performance, excellent image quality, versatile connectivity, and an easy setup process. I cannot see any limitations and I would highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far no issues after only 1 month and the picture quality of my first OLED is very impressive with low latency for gaming as well as HDR, also very immersive. I knew this would be an upgrade over my previous 32" 2k monitor, but didn't know it would how much it would really impress me, it's quite amazing, really.

You may think 45" is too big, however if you can use a 32" monitor, you could probably fit this 45" LG monitor and is way more immersive. (Just being a bit wider)

As I've only had this for around 1 month, I do worry about OLED burn-in, but it seems LG has protective features to utilize the regular cleaning of pixels and a couple other settings for OLED care. Plus, there are many tutorials online explaining how to look after an OLED panel

For the quality of the picture and all the features I really do recommend this product if you can afford to pay a little extra

The ultra-wide screen delivers incredible image quality with deep blacks, vibrant colours, and excellent contrast. I used it for both productivity and gaming, both performed amazingly, with smooth performance and plenty of screen space. The build quality feels premium, and once you use OLED at this size, it’s hard to go back. I would recommended to anyone looking to upgrade their experience.

It has LG TV style HDR, making good use of the 1300 nit panel spec, which makes everything look better and adds that punchy wow factor to the image. Built in speakers work well and honestly the best display I've owned to date!
