LG S95TR 9.1.5 Soundbar Dolby Atmos sound system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an LG OLED evo AI 55" G6 4K Smart TV 2026 in May, and soon recognised I needed a soundbar to get the best audio out of the TV. I would recommend anyone to purchase the LG US95TR soundbar which is compatible with the 552 and above. The LG THIn app allows you to maximaise the sound with the room sizing and control sound levels and Bass etc from your smart phone very simply. The soundbar has made my initial purchase of the TV an ideal system for watching films, listening to music and normal TV.

I’ve owned decent soundbars before, but nothing that’s made such a noticeable difference to everyday listening. The first thing that struck me was the clarity. The subwoofer adds weight without overwhelming the room, and the whole system feels balanced whether I’m listening quietly or pushing the volume. It’s made me enjoy full albums again instead of skipping around.

Gaming has been one of the biggest upgrades. Directional audio feels precise, so you can actually sense where things are happening around you. Atmos‑supported games feel almost cinematic, with environmental sounds wrapping around you and effects landing with real impact. The responsiveness is instant — no lag, no muddiness — just clean, immersive sound that makes games feel more alive.

LG’s AI Room Calibration made a bigger difference than I expected. After running it, the bass tightened up, dialogue centred more naturally, and the rear speakers blended into the soundstage instead of feeling separate. It genuinely feels tuned for my room rather than just “good everywhere.” And paired with an LG TV, the whole setup becomes seamless. WOW Orchestra and WOWCAST make the TV and soundbar feel like one unified system, not two devices trying to cooperate.

Overall, the LG US95AR hasn’t just improved my setup — it’s changed how I listen. Films feel more cinematic, music feels more emotional, and games feel more immersive. It’s the first soundbar that’s made everyday listening feel noticeably better in every way.

I would like a little more adjustment that I can make on device (at the moment to control balance etc. you ideally need to use the LG ThinQ app) but for an easy to set up sound solution it works very well.
