[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to this 55-inch LG B5 OLED from an older 55-inch LG 4K television that had served us well for many years. The improvement is immediately noticeable. The picture is incredibly sharp, colours are rich, motion is smooth and the black levels make films and streaming programmes look particularly impressive.

We use the television for a mixture of Sky Q, Netflix, Prime Video and general family viewing, and it performs very well across all of them. Sky Q works perfectly in 2160p UHD, while HD programmes are also presented clearly. The menus and smart features are responsive, and setup was straightforward.

The screen was initially brighter and more intense than we were used to, particularly in our fairly dark living room, but the extensive picture controls made it easy to adjust the OLED brightness and colour temperature to suit our eyes. Once set up properly, the picture is both comfortable and excellent.

It also fitted securely onto our existing motorised VESA wall mount and works well with our older LG soundbar through the optical connection.

Most importantly, I purchased it directly from LG at an excellent promotional price. For the picture quality, features and 120Hz OLED panel, it represents amazing value. I am extremely pleased with the upgrade and hope it serves us as reliably as our previous LG television.

Kaikki mitä nykyaikaiselta televisiolta voi odottaa. Ei mitään pahaa sanottavaa. Uudistetut jalat ovat myös hyvät joka nostaa televisiota tarpeeksi ylös. Edellisessä LG CX kaukosäätimen käyttäminen oli välillä vaikeaa kun kaukosäätimen vastaanotin jäi soundbarin taakse piiloon tässä se ei ole enää ongelma.

When our 12 year old TV broke a few weeks ago, I went looking for an upgrade from our old 48inch LG. We have had the OLED55B56LA for 3 weeks now and it has beaten our expectations! We have a large lounge and our sitting position is between 4 to 6 metres away from the tv. It was easy to set up. The picture is excellent, the sound is great and at 20 on the volume we can hear everything being spoken. We like the controller and the operating system is really easy to use. We use Apple, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Sky, Now, iPlayer, ITV, Ch4 and they all stream smoothly, with great pictures and sound. I'm glad we trusted LG again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a minor annoyance, that when you switch the set on, it goes to its homepage, rather than going to the last selected source. Also, the picture generated from aerial inputs is disappointing, though using streaming services to show the same content gives a much better picture.

I haven't gone through the whole user manual, so there may be a way to tell the AI to improve the off air picture, and upscale it to UHD, but I have not found any such setting.

So, off-air programs are fuzzier than streaming ones, or those injected via the HDMI port, making it difficult to read any small text being shown.

The sound is good, and will go very loud if you so desire. Very deep sounds positively shake the room!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first OLED and really impressed with the picture and sound. I have added an LG soundbar but to be honest the speakers in this tv are the best I've heard. Soundbar is nice however for the Atmos experience. Great TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decided to buy this to replace an old 27" LG Ultragear monitor as I'm avid flight simmer. OLED gaming monitors are just ridiculous money, especially something as big as this so thought, TV it is.

Pretty plug and play with some minor set up, no need to connect to the interwebs either. Also got my PS5 hooked up with the TV taking full advantage of VRR and 120hz refresh. Just make sure you get decent certified HDMI 2.1 cables, a lot of fakes out there.

The TV has auto power saving so dims the screen if not touched for a bit, useful when staring at blue sky for a couple of hours.

TV is a breeze to use, and the menu is much snappier than the equivalent Samsung smart TVs. The picture is sharp and in a smaller room, the HDR quality pops. Not really delved into any of the AI upscaling malarkey as I'm mainly using it as a PC monitor. All in all, highly recommended. 👍

The performance is smooth and responsive, with seamless transitions between apps, menus, and the homepage. The OLED panel delivers stunning colours and deep contrast, making it a huge upgrade from an LCD TV. Sharpness and resolution are excellent, allowing high-definition content to look crisp and detailed. Brightness is also impressive, performing well even in well-lit rooms.
