Great text and photo quality, easy setup and long lasting ink but the absence of duplex double sided printing is a shame and the inability to not even be able to manually duplex print from the mobile app is inexcusable when most other manufacturers offer this function in their apps. Note you can manually duplex print from a computer. The tiny display is very poor but functional and rear paper loading is a pain as you have to move the printer to load so it needs more desk space. My old MG7150 printer was far superior except in the ink capacity.

Easy to use, and versatile ,especially via the phone app. Superb quality photo printing,which was the main reason I bought it. A4 pages in black and white or colour very crisp. Very economical on inks. An excellent machine.

Very pleased with this printer. Good quality photo prints and useful to print via the internet using iPhone which is easy to use. . Only improvement would be a printing app for MacBook to match the iPhone.

I wanted a printer to produce high quality photos and this one certainly does that. With the rear paper feed it will handle quite thick photo paper. The downside is that it's not the most user friendly printer. No mention of the 13 buttons on the top of it in the paper manual and the very small display needs good eye sight to read it.

Overall, very pleased with it but needs some time to get to grips with.

Ok, but very small, fiddly and hard to read settings window lets this printer down. Also, I dislike having to pay for scan and copy functions that I won't use.

I wasn't sure what printer to buy, the new cannon tank printers are fast, this one reviewed as being a bit slow. Now I've got it, I'm blown away and I've never been so happy about buying a printer. The photo prints are just as good, if not better than shop prints, speed isn't too bad and you get a lot of printer and ink for your money. Speed is a bit on the slower side, but I can queue up plenty of prints and leave it and it's not that slow. Software is rock solid and while the printer doesn't have a front panel, it doesn't need it. Warranty is also good. No real downside, I love it.

I come from many years of depending on Epson printers for professional design need and, though still cautious, the signs are excellent I am very glad to say!

I'm not extremly impressed by the normal text on normal paper, it is more blurred than what it used to be on my MG7150. I've just printed 1 photo and it was good. I miss the cassets though ;)

It's hard to read the text on the quite dark textdisplay with black letters and numbers. It had been better with a lighter background. But so far It's good.

Delighted with the colour quality of this printer - as good as my old iP4950. A bit slow but manageable for a home printer. Display window a bit small and difficult to read.

Replacing an old Canon printer/scanner which lasted for many, many years (upgraded computer so no longer worked) Canon were very helpful recommending various models - opted for this one which is working great, tidy on the desk too, so very happy

Bought to print photos, excellent quality, compared against a Calibration Print from Marrutt Papers, quality better than their print. Control of printer needs to be done from App as the printer screen is ultra basic, and difficult to follow and see. Print Speed is very slow but exceptional quality

Initial examination shows the unit to be well manufactured and according to advice given now replaces my previous Canon printer a Pixma MG 8150. This has given many years of satisfactory service and hence a replacement from the same manufacturer. Early indications are that it will perform well but only time will tell. The new form of ink provision looks promising and may be an indication of future trends. It will take time, however, to adapt to the new format.

Bought to replace much loved Pixma G6350, 10 years old but with ink absorber full and not able to be repaired any more. would not have changed otherwise. Pixma G650 recommended to me because of economical ink refills and quality of photos. I'm sure I will grow to love it, but can see that lack of automatic double-sided printing will be annoying when printing out long documents - eg 44 pages of family history! Trust Canon after excellent experience with last 3 in 1, and still using 15 year old CanoScan 5600F. Would recommend Pixma G650 only to someone wanting to print good photos and very short documents.

The title expresses it all. The printer produces beautiful photos far surpassing those from photo labs in supermarkets. The freedom of printing your own photos in a format or with a caption/sticker you want is priceless for me. Its a shame there isn't A3 or even A2 version.

I bought this for costs - too early to say, but good for photo printing. Paper trays rather flimsy.

I bought this to replace a Canon MG2250.with ink problems. So far so good. It is a bit slow but photo print quality excellent.

Bought this recently. What a mistake. Controls are pathetic, fiddly and the window does not even light up. How mean is that? Absolutely no useful guidance on set up or use. Why should I have to trawl through an online menu to find anything. Canon your attitude to customers stinks.

Fantastic foto print. Large amount of printing ink in separete containers.

Our printer finally failed completely. We had to wait a little while for it to be delivered as it came from Europe but it was worth the wait. Easy to set up with clear video instructions. I wanted a printer for general home use and to produce good quality photos. I also wanted one that would not cost an extortionate amount to replace ink cartridges. So this really fits the bill. It will be a while until I can judge the long term cost, quality and durability but so far so good.
