Coffee machine or traditional coffee maker – choose yours

Coffee machines, capsule makers, and various French presses are the royalty of coffee brewing and increasingly familiar appliances in Finnish homes alongside traditional coffee makers.
A traditional drip coffee maker brews coffee quickly and easily, even for a crowd. It's also great for occasional coffee drinkers or as a backup for guests. The most affordable models cost around twenty euros, while premium ones run a couple hundred.
"Higher-end models have better filtration technology and more features, like automatic drip stops and descaling indicator lights," says Product Manager Joonas Heiniö from Verkkokauppa.com.
All coffee makers sold today have automatic shut-off. According to EU directives, drip coffee makers with glass carafes must turn off automatically 40 minutes after brewing.
"Moccamaster is a classic and one of our best sellers, but we carry other great brands too," Heiniö adds.
