Bought 10 months ago and the left hinge broke. Frustrating to say the least. The quality of the physical headphones isn’t great, they feel very flimsy and well broke.

Sound quality and noise cancellation is fine - not completely silent with these on but enough to make train journeys more bearable. Though sometimes they did seem to get dirt in the sensors and freak out.

Very good quality, I am upgrading from my XM4's as I broke the head band. The noise cancelling setting does not seem to be as good as the 4's, but the sound quality is definitely better. They are comfortable.

I got this headphones as a present and I love how comfortable they are! However, I have noticed every now and then the noise cancelling suddenly stops for no reason… Apart from that, no complaints! I like the grey case they come in. Battery life is pretty good too!

Bought thesd in january and the hinge had already snapped from regular use. Do not buy

I’m very pleased with the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. The sound quality is excellent, the noise cancellation works extremely well, and they are comfortable to wear for long periods. The battery life is also very good, and calls come through clearly. The carrying case is slightly bulky, but overall these are excellent-quality headphones and I would happily recommend them.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and do not agree with all the hype this product have.

I bought 1000XM5 and hoping to upgrade anc even more from 1000XM4 which have already stellar noise cancellation,oh boy i was so wrong and it's almost entirely because xm5 has automatic anc and u can't manually change the level of anc or do anything about it. xm5 Is huge dissappointment to me since xm4 has always full anc and it's great when i want silence but wearing xm5 doesn't work that way,for example i'm watching tablet and i get a silent moment and i still can hear tv when wife is watching and most ridiculous thing is that the tv volume is set to 2(which is ultra low) and I STILL CAN HEAR the tv if i have a silent moment,also at work xm5 leaks alot of noise through when compared to xm4. Anyway if you have xm4,under no circumstance don't "upgrade" to xm5.

The headphones are really comfortable. It's cushions are super comfy and is very lightweight. The sound quality is very good but still can better on deep sound and those feeble notes. The noice cancellation is really good compared to the other headphones I used such as Bose QuietComfort 2 and Sennheiser HD450 BT. But I sometimes hate the app firmware issue where the settings get adjusted back to default for some reason. Although the Adaptive Sound Control feature is good, in my situation, the mode switched from noice cancellation to adaptive mode unnecessarily. And the packaging of the product is super premium. I loved the way the headphone reached me in a supergood case. I loved the colour also, the matte navy blue. Overall, it's a really good buy.

Received as a gift but Sony is my goto headphones normally inner ear headphones but these are as good

I'm very disappointed with this product, I bought a Sony TV a Sony Soundbar and these headphones, I have downloaded the Connect App and it appears that I cannot change the sound quality via the equaliser to suit my needs to watch TV, that is to have a different volume to the soundbar and a clear sound. It has been suggested to me that the only way I can achieve this is to buy a Bluetooth Transmitter really!

I and very disappointed with the customer support with this product. I still have not been able to get the headphones working properly because of the lack of instructions. I cannot answer my phone when it rings.

Amazing 🎧 cant find a fault. Guaranteed excellent purchase.

Love them. Feel light to wear. Work well for noise cancelling. Only thing is my ears get a bit sweaty after wearing for a while
