A little tricky to get the shaving pressure right, but I'm absolutely loving it. It really does shave as close as a wet multi blade razor.

I chose this rating because I am sure it will; be excellent. I have not used it yet because the 18 month old (similar)nshaver I bought it to replace is working fine again after I discovered the cleaning pods and fluid. Shame you did not let me know of that sooner.

This shaver gives such an excellent close shave. I didn't shave for over a week, I used a razor blade but unfortunately left very small stubble on cheeks, above lips and around my throat. I waited about 30 mins and then used the Phillips shaver. It removed all remaining stubble and left my skin really smooth. I've used the shaver several times and it gives such a clean smooth shave. After 60 years of shaving with a razor, my honest opinion is the i9000 Prestige Ultra Wet and Dry Shaver with SkinIQ Pro gives a superior shave compared with anything else I've used. I highly recommend this product.

The machine is quick and quite.

I used a Panasonic ARC5 one, which required more time and is very noisy relative to the Philips one.

However, I like a very close shave, and in this regard, the Panasonic is by far better.

A superb product, not the cheapest but worth every penny

Being now in my 6th decade I decided to splash out on a new electric shaver well out of my usual budget. Now I've taken the leap am realising what I've missed out on and wonder why I waited so long. This shaver is a joy to use and my shave each day is no longer a chore.

Decent shaver but mine stopped working in just over 2 years, wasn't cheap but I assumed I would get many years service. so I won't be purchasing another, based on this, its the 2nd Philips shaver I have bought that has been poor, having had them for many years

This one is not as good as the old one.

And it leaves my skin dry

I like it and it works really well with shaving foam. The light is really helpful as is the app. The charge indicator is very accurate and the cleaning system works really well

I have always had Phillips shavers for the last 60 years but this one is really good. A very smooth shave even in awkward areas. Est one yet

I was a traditional blade razor user, until i got an infection on my cheeks that made shaving a problem. I invested in a Philips i9000. Whilst the problem didn't do away, shaving has become less of a problem. I can get a good shave, perhaps not as close as my blade razor. I shave every other day and results are very good. I need to clean and sterilise the razor every day, with no ill effect. Overall, a massive improvement to my shaving regime. Thanks

I have owned and used Philips electric shavers for probably 35 years and never considered buying a shaver by any other manufacturer. Once you have used the triple rotating cutter heads I can't see why you would want to change. I particularly like the pressure sensor lights on this model.

A brilliant razor, it's as good as a wet razor. The charging system is great as it keeps its charged.

This shaver is really good! I'll go over what I love about it but to start and probably most importantly for my wife, it's incredibly quiet compared to my old 15 year old model so I don't wake her up in the morning!

In all seriousness, it is nice and quiet which is no bad thing. I love the shave it gives too, I've always had sensitive skin and my old Philips shaver was the only one I found that didn't leave me red and blotchy. This one, though arguably harsher as it gives a much closer shave, is actually very good. The first couple of shaves I felt a little sore afterwards but it didn't leave my skin red or blotchy and actually, 20 or so shaves in, I use it on the intensive mode without any problems(I'd always recommend a post shave moisturiser afterwards anyway if you have sensitive skin.

The shave, as I say, is the closest I've ever had and I can honestly say I can stroke my face and not feel any remaining stubble.

I bought a pack that came with the quick clean pod and I have to say, it's a great idea, actually very simple but very effective at cleaning the shaver and leaving it fresh for the next shave. I usually leave it on the pod for a while after it's done to let the fluid drip off and dry before I put it on charge again.

It's lightweight in the hand but feels well built with some rubber to help with grip etc. It definitely feels like a quality shaver.

I like it using USB to charge rather than an older shaver plug as most bathrooms these days seem to lack the sockets and it means I place the shaver wherever I like.

Over all I'm pleased with the value for money, I did get it significantly cheaper than the RRP on sale which obviously doesn't hurt, but I do feel it's a quality product and I don't regret anything about the product so far and would recommend to anyone looking at getting one.

Quality of the i9000 and of the shaving result is perfect

This is an excellent shaver, with many features. It gives me a very close shave. The only reason for a loss of 1 star, is that the colour lights are a bit fickle, and don't always work.

Not as good as I expected for an expensive item like this. Doesn’t do as good a shave as I expected.

Shaver itself is functional. But it is let down by terrible documentation - just a bunch of meaningless pictures. Mine has no travel case ( I travel a lot) and no protection for the shaver head. It also has an enormous charger (?) or sanitizer (?) into which the shaver fits, whose purpose is unclear and for which there is no documentation. So far, I have not figured out how the cleaning station works. By contrast, my Panasonic shaver is compact, has a soft travel case and is simple to use.

Swift, safe and sensitive with one caveat, top lip under my nose, not the easiest to use

Excellent product, love it. It gives a closer shave than my old Philips shaver. My old one still worked but I could no longer get genuine Philips replacement blades for it and the generic ones were no good. But the i9000 is superb. My one complaint - they need to supply a dust cap for the cleaner. The cleaner for my old shaver used to get dusty as it was on the shelf, so a dust cap for the i9000 would be a good idea, maybe with a groove to hold the shaver when not being used. At the moment I pop the lid of the cleaning fluid on top of the cleaner to srop the dust getting in.

This is my 4th shaver from Phillips, I always buy Phillip and am a bit disappointed with it. It has a lot of gimmicks , lights , cleaning pod, charging hub etc but what I want is something that shaves. It does not reach under the nose which is annoying, the large shaving head does not help. The lights also does not turn on. My 4 year old shaver does a better job which I still have which cost a fraction of what I paid for this. Also I travel quite a big and would have rather had a travel case instead of the charging hub etc.
