Best card for Linux gamers
This is AMD's top GPU from its current generation. I've been gaming on Arch Linux using Steam. No problems so far.
I didn't need to configure anything, simply get the Mesa drivers and it will work out of the box.
My motherboard is MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk WiFi, and processor is AMD Ryzen 7 9700X.
I'm playing on 1440p resolution and have achieved for example 150+ FPS in some scenes on Red Dead Redemption 2, and 160+ FPS on GTA V Enhanced, both highest settings.
Achieved around 100 FPS on The Last of Us Part II Remastered, high settings. Around 60-70 FPS on highest.
Temperatures currently remain reasonable, and the card is generally silent. Especially when playing with headphones, there is no noise problem. In any case my AIO drowns out any perceivable noise during gaming.
You should watch some more in-depth reviews and analysis of the card before you buy it, to make sure it's the right one for you, but I definitely recommend it for Linux gamers who want top of the line performance at 1440p (and maybe good performance at 4K, I have not tested), and don't want to pay a kidney for some Nvidia card, nor want to mess around with all kinds of exotic driver configurations that might be required for Nvidia cards.
Especially in the current computer hardware market of summer 2026, this card has a relatively good price given its 16GB of VRAM.
