Without Flash cannot do most of my work.
Results are great so far, still waiting for flash connector adaptor.

Vihdoinkin
Tätä kameraa on tullut pitkään odoteltua ja nyt sellaisen sain. Täydellisyyttä hipova kamera, mitäpä tästä muuta voisi sanoakkaa.
Mätzky45–54v Great body
Great auto focus and love the pre shoot mode how now you don’t have to extract the images out of a sub folder like the r6ii and r7
Great camera, except for AF firmware issues
Without question this is an excellent product and as a mark 1 user, I have to say it’s an excellent upgrade, many features are added or heavily enhanced. HOWEVER, there are some big negatives that I’m sure Canon are aware of and the reason I’m only giving the camera 4 stars. Firmware updates - where are they? We pretty much all know that 1.0.3 has a huge impact on AF, one of the key selling points of this model, was the massively improved AF, but since the last upgrade this isn’t the case at all. Most credible users will confirm this. So since the last firmware was March, why, why, why is it taking Canon so long to implement a fix? 2+ months is already too long!
Dynamic range and noise is also something that needs addressing. Way too much noise in shadow areas, lesser and cheaper models are virtually faultless on noise, as was R5/1.
Come on Canon, sort this out please.
Those two features alone are some of the key selling points, now effectively without them, is the camera worth it?
Brilliant
This camera is absolutely brilliant, I love it
Better image quality
I was an R5 mki owner, using it regularly with my 500mm F4 mkii. I bought the R5 mkii with a 100-500. The combination is excellent. It feels great in the hand. The balance is just right. Also, heavily cropped images (birds) seem much better with the R5 mkii. I'm a very happy bunny.
Winds hands down
Absolutely love it takes a few days to master after using thr R7 which I still have a lovely little camera but the R5 wins for me great quality still a lot to learn, I find it great for wildlife paired with the RF 100-500 nice balance in the hand and superb picture quality great love it
Needs immediate new firmware
On receipt of the camera I upgraded to latest firmware version 1.0.3
However, focusing is erratic and unreliable with RF 100-500.
Desperately need firmware update to fix these issues
Currently not as reliable as Mark I and not possible to revert to 1.0.2
Monster of a Camera , well impressed
A replacement for a 1DX mk 3 ..... and i am blown away ! I was going for a R1 but the stats on ot are so poor and the R5 mk 2 is a monster and this should be the new Canon flagship model. I`m slowly getting used to the settings and the tweaking of the settings , so many and every day is a school day. Match it up with the new 100-500 mm lense and you have a MONSTER of a peice of kit ! I miss my old kit but i would not go back to it. Thank you Canon !!!!!
Blistering!
I've only had this camera since the beginning of February and sadly, owing to my domestic circumstances, I've not had that many opportunities to use it yet. This camera replaces my 14 year old and trusty Canon 60D which has served me well and still works perfectly. However, although I thought now would be the time to upgrade,
When it first arrived, I was flabbergasted by the features and capabilities of the R5 Mk 2. It's a real "beast", and so much more technologically advanced than the camera it replaces, that frankly, it was a bit overwhelming at first. It will definitely take me some time to get to grips with all of it's technological attributes and make best use of its features. I am however very much looking forward to the challenge!

Best thing that could happened
I'm coming from the Canon EOS 6D, and I'm just blown away by the new functions and features that make capturing moments much better.
It will be five stars when the 4K fine mode in 60 FPS is added(hoping for new firmware soon)
Fantastic Camera
I brought this camera the moment it came out and am extremely delighted with this purchase. The photos are razor sharp and video quality is fantastic
I love the ability to take both photos and video at the same time
Great autofocus
I upgraded to the R5 mkii a short while ago from a R6, the difference is outstanding in autofocus speed and accuracy. I mainly shoot wildlife and find the animal autofocus is very accurate and locks on very quickly. Only had the opportunity to photograph small birds at the moment but well pleased with the results so far.

Best Camera I have ever used!
I bouth this as an upgrade to my Canon EOS 90D and I could not be happier. Using this camera feels like the first time I used a good camera with all the upgrades and the features that have been added or improved.
Well engineered, feels great in the hands, easy setup with excellent features.
I have had this camera for nearly a month after moving from a Canon r7. I mainly photograph military aircraft and wildlife. I used the camera in anger for the first time yesterday to photograph the Swiss Air Force who are currently deployed to the UK. So far, the results are outstanding with my keep rate at least doubled.

Canon R5 Mkii
Brilliant camera, upgraded from a Canon 5D Mk4 and all I can say is that every aspect of this camera is better
Brilliant Camera
I have been a Canon user since the days of film and having a darkroom.
I bought the original EOS 5D and had the mk II & IV.
The R5 MkII is a big step up from the MkIV even though I am very familiar with Canon 5 series.
It was a bit daunting at first, but taking time to find my round, it wasn't so bad as first impressions.
The R5MkII is a fine camera, so customizable.
The auto focus amazing, fast and accurate. With a RF lens almost instantaneous, even on small birds. Servo tracking is also a great feature.
Image quality is outstanding. I haven't used the eye control focus in real life, but I have calibrated it and played around, not sure this will be a feature I will use much especially as the other focusing options are so good. Time will tell.
A new camera is not " your camera" until you have done a fair bit and the controls become 2nd nature.
It's a great camera and I am so pleased with it. Well done Canon!!!
I'm glad I upgraded!
So many good features, many of which I felt were missing from the Mark I. A really great camera! I'm hoping that a few missing refinements will be introduced in firmware updates as they are more to do with settings options than hardware shortcomings. Some new features are game-changers.

Canon R5 m2
Got it a month ago and love the camera focusing is fast video is excellent
Amazing camera, problematic limitations.
As a wedding photographer for 10 years, I've used multiple systems from the Canon 6D/5D III, to the 5D IV and R6 II and now finally the R5 II. This camera is brilliant and out shines them all in terms of focus accuracy, tracking, functionality.
Registered faces makes focusing on my couple in a crowd of people a breeze, no longer do I have my photos suddenly track someone else while shooting from above. Having fast storage means my confetti throws/sparkler walks are captured effortlessly without risk of filling up the buffer. It's all stuff I enjoyed from my R6 II but... Better. Eye tracking is also great if you're not a glasses wearer. It's accurate 70% of the time but it's not a massive limitation.
But my biggest gripe... The battery limitations! Why can't I use the 3rd party batteries I've collected over the years. They work perfectly fine in my other systems and now they won't even function in the camera. Even first party older batteries turn off basic features like network connectivity for image transfer, it makes no sense why that's impacted at all. This genuinely hampers my enjoyment or even functionality of the system, I nearly missed using this camera to shoot the couples portraits after the ceremony because my battery had died. I thankfully had my second R6 II but if I hadn't swapped out to the first party LPE6 NH I'd have been screwed and as a professional product that's unforgivable. Bring back basic video and networking abilities with older/third party batteries and you have a camera of the decade.
Brilliant new R5 MkII
Bought a week ago now, brilliant camera so many new features. Can't wait to get out to test them all. The autofocus is amazing and very quick as is the eye tracking. A vast improvement from my old 5D Mk4 I had. The best camera I have ever owned
