Does this charger keeps consuming the car battery when the car is off?
I bought this charger and found there is a light turned on all the time even after the car engine is off. I waited for the car to be fully off and sat in the car for a few minutes to see if the light will go off and it didn't. I unplugged it to avoid the car battery being consumed. Can you clarify if it is continue to consume the car battery if it is not unplugged?
CSLVYes, if the car’s 12V socket stays powered when the engine is off, the charger will keep drawing a small amount of current because the LED indicates it’s receiving power. The consumption is usually very low (milliamps), but over several days or weeks it can slowly drain the battery. To avoid this, unplug the charger when the car is not in use, or check if your car cuts power to the socket after a delay—some models do, but not all.
