Good quality and value. Charges quickly and battery lasts a long time. Cuts quite close but you need to go over repeatedly. Definitely buy again.

Good shaver but would have preferred a traditional plug instead of a USB connection. Not that convenient for charging up..

Very poor moustache trimmer, it has never worked properly, trying to contact support for replacement or product repair.

This is the first electric/rechargeable shaver I have ever used (I'm 72).

I got fed up using a wet razor and foam every day, so thought I'd try out a Philips 3000 series shaver, as recommended by a friend who has used electric all of his life.

First impressions are good and obviously no setting up to do as with a wet shave.

I still wet shave if I'm having a night out or going out for a meal, but the Philips 3000 is ideal for day to day use.

The wet shave razor still gives a much closer shave, but the electric obviously saves time and mess.

I'm happy enough with my purchase.

I chose this rating due to it's excellent shaving abilities and the length of time between charging, it seems to handle well in the hand and for the cost I love it.

Once charged, the battery life is average. In my opinion only basing on razor i have the blades don't seem very sharp and takes a while running over same area to get decent result.

My husband had me buy this when his old shaver got ‘mislaid’. He much prefers it even though it is an older and less fancy model as he reckons it gives a better shave.

Great smooth shave, cleans easily, holds charge well and when you do need to recharge it is quick.

I have had a number of Philips Shavers over 60+ years. I have tried others, but none compare. It's a "no contest". However, when the blades need replacing, I will try to fit the older style " lift and cut" type. This will make the Shaver perfect!

This is a basic rotary blade shaver. Doesn't cut as close as the advanced ones but suits me much better as it is gentle on my old sensitive skin.

I chose this rating as the previous Philips shaver was disappointing as the heads were difficult to align for someone with macular degeneration. The new razor is better with only the occasional hiccup.

1. I particularly like the fact that this shaver holds its charge very well indeed. The charge bars (on the grip) indicate the rate of decline of the charge. At first I thought they were not working but after a month or so the charge dropped from three bars to two.
2. The charge from empty is very fast indeed.
3. I like the fact that the shaver manages to cut close - meaning you don't have to keep going over the same part of your face - as has happened to me with other shavers.
4. The detail facility works well and I haven't had the annoyance of trimming into my moustache.
5. All in all a very good purchace!

I took it back and will never buy a Philips razor again. It left my neck and face all red and itchy

IT IS FAR TOO SOON TO BE WRITING A REVIEW AS I HAVE NOT HAD THE SHAVER LONG ENOUGH.

HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT BEEN HAVING A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH SHAVERS OF LATE. THEY ALL SEEM TO FAIL AFTER ABOUT SIX MONTHS. MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN DIABOLICAL. I GOT A FOIL SHAVER FROM PHILIPS AND MY EXPERIENCE HAS NOT BEEN GOOD. I RECENTLY GOT A ROTARY SHAVER WHICH DOES A BETTER JOB BUT I'M WORRIED ABOUT IT FAILING FOR NO REASON LIKE ALL THE OTHERS.

IF IT LASTS AT LEAST 4 YEARS I WILL BE HAPPY.

WITHOUT RELIABILITY, ALL OTHER QUALITIES AMOUNT TO NOTHING.

A reasonable shave - but not close. Feels good in hand. Charges quickly.

It's a really good shaver, I purchased it to replace my very old Philips PT920 shaver. Having used the Philips for years it was an easy decision to purchase another Philips. I would say that my older shaver seems to be better made, the on/off switch is a much better design and all round just feels better quality, ( maybe its a sign of the times). I would still highly recommend the Philips 3000 s3242/12 as its a really good shaver.

I chose this high rating because this Phillips shaver is very good I like the fact that you can use it in the shower plus it is rechargeable ideal for taking away on holiday this is to replace my old Remington should of brought a Phillips one in the first place very happy with my purchase
