Owned for 2 months I now use this lens fully open. Has changed my photography style. Wonderful!

I’ve only used this lens on the Sony FX3 and from this, you will achieve a very cinematic look, especially if adding an ND filter.

Fantastic lens with a very smooth look at an affordable price.

I use this with Sony A7 M3 camera and it fit perfectly. I like it size. It is comfordable to hold even one hand. It makes little sound, when it moves in camera, maybe lenses. It's bit distractive. But the best thing is that focusing doesn't make sound. Manually focusing is also comfordable. Focusing is so flexsible also switching between Auto and Manual auto. I don't use full automatic settings. But need to be carefully in that, I think so. Thats name is iris lock. It was first hard to find. It has also more features that ai am not covered yet, black circles.

Photos looks painting with right setting. Not the most high res lanscape work.

would love for it to be wider A full frame 40mm 1.4 pro lens would be ideal

Amazingly sharp lock on autofocus!

Highly recommend it

Super prime lens.

Very happy ,sharp autofocus amazing image quality

Crisp, superb contrast, vibrant and reliable focus. A must for your lens collection

I have this lens a few months now and love. Fast and sharp great for portraits and street photography

Ostin tämän sigman putken tilalle. Pidän todella paljon potrettikuvauksissa tästä. Paljon kevyempi kuin 50/1.2 ja ei mielestäni häviä laaadussa yhtään. Kaunis bokeh !

I’ve had this lens for two two weeks, I’m a street photographer and I love asking strangers for a portrait, this lens suits my needs perfectly, it’s tack sharp too.

Simply love it. What you expect for a G master lens

Superb build and image quality. Bokeh is beautiful, and video quality is sharp amd smooth. Used with a A7 Mk4

I traded in my 55mm 1.8 lens towards this new 50mm 1.4GM not because I needed it I got G.A.S. and wanted something new and wanted to treat myself. This new lens is very light, its smaller than I expected, I was expecting the lens to be heavier with a larger glass front element so was surprised to see something smaller than my expectations.

I've not had the chance yet to do a proper studio shoot with it, so I've been taking random snap shots around the house of my daughter, I was amazed at f1.4 how quickly the lens focus and nailed eye's tack sharp when very quickly raising the camera taking quick shots, was very happy with the picture quality.

I've only had this lens a couple of weeks so it's not been used a lot yet but the results got so far are great.

Kova hehkutus youtubessa piti paikkaansa. Hienosti piirtää ja koko hyvä.

This new lens from Sony is excellent. IQ is as sharp or sharper any other high quality lens (including other GM lenses) I have owned and its features (e.g. aperture ring and focus hold buttons) make this lens fast and efficient to use during a photoshoot. Compact for a f1.4 fast 50mm lens making it an absolute joy to use.
