Sony A7R VI spegellös kamerahus

Having read and watched any number of online reviews I'd concluded the A7Rvi couldn't possibly live up to all the hype - boy was I wrong.

The biggest and most welcome surprise was the speed of subject acquisition. I've been using an A7CR until recently, which is pretty good, but using the A7Rvi is a whole new ball game.

Having had the A7Rvi for just a short while I've yet to really put it through its paces – but, forgive me from mixing my metaphors – the camera 'knocks the ball out of the park'.

Coming from a Sony compact, then an RX10ii, then the A7CR, I'd come to grips with what had been a very complex menu system, but again, Sony appear to have spent considerable efforts to make getting more out of the camera a lot easier – and their efforts have paid dividends.

Having just invested a sizeable chunk in the new body, I wouldn't have thought I'd be looking at extending my range of Sony lenses so soon – but reading about the A7Rvi's performance when coupled with the new Sony 600mm f6.3 has got me checking the status of my credit card.

I've yet to stretch the legs of the phenomenal burst speeds the A7Rvi offers – after all it's early days – but so far, just one word sums up my experience - WOW!

A stunning camera. Previously I was a Canon DSLR user but switched to Sony with the A7R3 which was a great camera. I then used the A7R4A and A7R5 and also loved both of those...BUT the A7R6 is in a different league. The AF is supernaturally good at finding subjects and then hanging on to them, the resolution allows enormous cropping and the dynamic range means that image-making is now possible in extremely harsh conditions as well as low light scenes with very low noise after post-processing. I haven't tried the high speed bursts yet but am sure it will not disappoint. The only problem for Sony is that I don't think I will ever need another camera!!

I bought this two weeks ago and am still getting used to it. I have upgraded from the A7III. The menu is extensive and takes a little time to get used to, but once you have gone through it a couple of times, it is straightforward to navigate. The button layout is much the same as my old A7III, with the exception of the mode dial beneath the PASM wheel.

Memory card/s, I started off trying my old 64GB SDXC card, but it was not up to the job, so I had to buy a 480GB CFexpress card, which is not cheap, but will handle a 30 fps frame rate. The camera has two card slots, and I do like the feature that allows you to save on both cards simultaneously, so you get an instant backup. The SDXC card is installed with the terminals facing the rear of the camera, whilst the CFexpress card is installed with the terminals facing the front of the camera.

The EVF is crystal clear, and I did not need to alter the setting straight out of the box.

This camera has the new Sony NP-SA100 battery, which has a 2670mAh capacity and is physically bigger than the previous NP-FZ100, which has a capacity of 2280mAh and fits the older Sony A7's. The supplied charger will charge two batteries at a time, which is a nice touch, and I will get around to buying another one. I also bought the battery grip.

So far, I have only used two of the "G" lenses: the 24-105 G OSS and the 90 Macro G OSS. Both were great, and the autofocus was fast and spot on.

I'm still settling into the camera, but so far it has performed well and has a heap of features which I still want to try out.

Parin viikon käytöllä vasta pieni murto-osa ominaisuuksista on tullut omakohtaisesti testattua, mutta ainakaan toistaiseksi asiantuntijoiden ylistävät lausunnot eivät tunnu yhtään yliampuvilta. Koska minulla ei niihin ole mitään lisättävää, mainitsenkin tässä vain ne pari seikkaa, jotka koen huononnuksiksi aiempiin versioihin nähden.

1. Tilapyörän lukitus, jota aiemmissa versioissa ei ollut. Olen nimittäin tottunut vaihtamaan valotustilaa tähtäyksen aikana etenkin A- ja S-tilojen välillä nopeasti ja irrottamatta otettani kamerasta, mutta enää se onnistu, koska pyörän keskellä olevaa lukituksen vapautuspainiketta pitää painaa samanaikaisesti pyörän kiertämisen kanssa, mikä vaatii molemmat kädet. Mielestäni lukitus ei tässä ole edes tarpeellinen, ja ainakin se pitäisi toteuttaa samalla tavoin kuin valotuskorjauksen pyörässä, jonka lukitus jää vapautetuksi kunnes painiketta painaa toistamiseen.
2. Uusi versio ei ole yhteensopiva aiempien versioiden Multi/micro USB -liittimeen kaapelilla kiinnitettävien laitteiden kanssa, vaikka väliin laittaa USB-C - Micro-USB -sovittimen. Näitä laitteita ovat esimerkiksi Sonyn oma langallinen RM-SPR1-kauko-ohjain sekä monien muiden valmistajien radiolaukaisimet. Langattomat Bluetooth-laukaisimet, kuten Sonyn RMT-P1BT ovat yhteensopivia myös VI-rungon kanssa, mutta Bluetooth ei korvaa radiolaukaisimia, joiden kantamat ovat kymmenkertaisia. Toivottavasti tämä asia on mahdollista korjata ja korjataan rungon laiteohjelmiston tulevissa päivityksissä.

I have had the new Sony R VI camera for over a week now impressed with the quality. I was a bit concerned as I only had one battery but I should been as I took 800 photos and battery was 64% plus i was changing the settings as I was going on.

I bought this a month ago, and I am not disappointed. This is the first Sony camera I have owned.

The image quality is just amazing.

The only thing that could be improved is that the menu is so complex that it takes some time and patience to get things right.

Got this as soon as it was released and went immediately to Paris on a short break. The camera was exceptional, comfortable to use and all the new features work amazingly well in “real life” rather than just on a spec page. Back home the photos are stunning. Colours, depth and resolution are breathtaking and I’m now looking forward to really getting to know the camera and take advantage of its speed and resolution - no regrets, only joy.

Coming from the A7R V, the VI has been a great upgrade. The V was the first in the line to impress me with its autofocus, but the VI really steps it on, detecting subjects that are much smaller in the frame, and feeling faster again. The body is more refined, and it’s even more customisable.

Hi the camera was excellent as was the delivery. How ever I decided to return it as I just felt the resolution was a bit too much for me. How ever looking back I probably rushed it and never gave it a chance.

I'm generally happy with it. I wanted it particularly because it has two features my A7Riv lacked, namely focus bracketing and precapture. Precapture is great. Focus bracketing is a big disappointment because it's so slow. It runs at 2-3 frames/second, where friends' cameras (eg Olympus) run at close to 10. They can do handheld focus bracketed shots of insects and I still can't, which is very frustrating.
