The attachment for rough skin works wonders and the battery power is amazing. I wasn't sure as being a mid to older lady about the epilator and first time use I was sceptical with the epilator head and thought 'it's too painful' but after using a few times it gives amazing results and no longer hurts. The exfoliation tool

helps give a smooth finish to a job well done.

The ProGuide attachment is great for helping you get your skin into the best position for removing the hair easily, and it is comfortable to hold too.

The LED light seemed like a little bit of a gimmick for me, but I still use it, and it does definitely help me to see all those little fine hairs, especially around the thigh.

I love that I can use this in the shower, though I mostly do it just after I get out, as I find that gives me the best results.

This comes with everything you need - a bikini trimmer, exfoliation brush, even a pedicure file. The battery life is decent too, and I can go a few uses before I need to charge it up.

Overall I'd recommend it, especially if you're looking for an alternative in between waxing and shaving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far the most comfortable epilator I have used! Not only does it look beautifully sleek, it’s nowhere near as painful as my previous model. Being able to use it in the shower makes the whole process a lot easier and less painful. The 'ProGuide' attachment keeps the skin taut so there's less pull and I barely feel it when the skin is wet. The LED light is a nice touch too.

It's great at catching the shortest of hairs that usually get left behind. My skin feels silky smooth after, once the initial redness clears up. The battery life is also great. It easily lasts through a full body session without needing a top-up.

I normally dread the ingrown hairs after epilating, but I've hardly had any this time. A handy tip I got from a derm is to use glycolic acid toner on the area and it definitely works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched up my hair removal game from disposable razors to the new Phillips Epilator 8000. After years of shaving with a manual razor I was fed up of having to repeat the process every other day. The Phillips 8000 promises up to 4 weeks of smooth skin and whist I haven’t had smooth skin for 4 weeks I have noticed a considerable difference. I must note that after years of shaving, my roots are firmly grounded and I have strawberry legs, my best advice if you are switching to an epilator is to prep the skin by exfoliating and moisturising a few days before you plan to exfoliate, this opens up any blocked hair follicles and teases them out. After following these steps I noticed a considerable difference in the effectiveness of the epilator and much smoother skin. I think if I continue these steps, the results over time will be even better. For comparison, I also used the epilator on my forearms when I do not have strawberry skin and the results were incredible, after 3 weeks my skin is still noticeably smooth. I love that the epilator comes with a 360 degrees light attachment, it really helps me to see those fine, blonde hairs with ease. The epilator itself is comfortable to hold and appealing in colour. Can be used wet or dry, but I found it most effective on dry skin. The charge lasts well, allowing me to epilate both of my legs in one charge. The only negative for me was that I found it could be a little more flexible- it’s a little difficult to use around your knees and ankles. Apart from that, it’s definitely a product I will continue to use and over time I think the results will improve dramatically.

It was very effective at removing hairs even very short hairs. Did sometimes require going over twice. It uses 32 ceramic tweezers that grab hair as short as 0.5 mm. Removes hair from the root so skin can stay smooth up to about 4 weeks.

I really liked the fact it can be used wet or dry. It is fully waterproof, so you can use it in the shower aswell

There is a LED light to help spot small hairs you might otherwise miss.

It is multifunctional, therefore, not just an epilator, also a shaver and exfoliator. Meaning less products needed in your house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve recently tried this product and I’m really happy with the results so far. The product can be used both wet and dry. The epilator doesn’t hurt like I thought it would. It’s effective on short hair and the results last a fair few weeks. It worked amazingly on my legs, my skin felt super smooth afterwards. I have dark hair and very pale skin so even shaving you can still see some hair but with this product it removes from the root.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an epilator about 20 years ago and never even managed to do more than one shin because it was so painful - I even remember trying to rub ice cubes on my leg first but that just made it harder work and not much more successful.

Over the last 20 years I've tried most hair removal methods going and finally went with shaving legs and underarms and somewhat messy hair removal cream for my bikini line. I was always frustrated at how quickly I needed to shave again and I didn't like disposable parts going to landfill.

I jumped at the chance to try this epilator and I was hoping for a better experience than 20 years ago. First thing I noticed out of the box with that the epilator head is ceramic which looks a little less threatening than the old metal parts. Turning it on I will admit that the noise was pretty much what I remembered and that did put me off a little bit but I persisted.

I tried epilating my legs dry at first and I won't lie and say it was completely painless but it was much better than I remember and it was over very quickly. The "proguide" really helped to keep the skin taut with only one hand which is really useful for the back of my legs and underarms and the light helped me get all the hair rather than finding an annoying missed patch 3 hours later. As it's waterproof I also tried using in the bath and then it was nearly painless which is fab!

Epilating does leave my skin a bit bumpy initially so not ideal if I needed to quickly defuzz before going out with my legs out but the shaving attachment could then be used so I won't need to keep disposables in just in case. The shaving head is also great for keeping biking line tidy if epilating the bikini line isn't for you!

The epilator also comes with an exfoliating brush head for before epilating which I haven't tried yet as it seems a little small so I've used a body brush or honestly havent bothered. I haven't been troubled by ingrowing hairs yet but if I am I'll try the brush head.

The pedicure head is great and will definitely get my heels ready for summer although it did only come with one head and I don't know how long it will be until it needs replacing. I've found the replacements online and they seem expensive but I guess that perception could change if it lasts a long time.

Being cordless I did wonder if I'd run out of time before finishing but I found I had more than enough time to do my legs, underarms and bikini line in one sitting!

I usually have a preference for shaving or waxing but from using this product I have been convinced that epilation may well be for me. It leaves my skin silky smooth for weeks and yes there is slight pain but I would say less so than waxing. It’s quite easy to use once you get the hang of it and the light up feature is amazing for precise hair removal. I have also enjoyed the use of the exfoliating brush and the fact it has interchange heads is great for travel. The trimmer/shaver is okay although I would prefer it to be have sharper blades as I don’t find it cuts through coarse hair that well but for fine hair it’s great. All round great product and the charge lasts quite a while also which is perfect for a long hair removal session.

I love that it can be used on both wet and dry skin, making it versatile for use. The choice and range of different machine heads is amazing - this one little machine can do so much! It is extremely versatile. The only thing I found that could be a potential con is that the foot 'buffing' tool is not as powerful as other Stand alone machines made for that specific use, which is to be expected. Overall I love this product and will be continuing to use it to maintain a smooth body!

like the razor head, I use it underarm, it's quick and easy and leaves me feeling smooth. The battery life is very good, better than expected, I use the product approx 5 times before it requires recharging. The device is light and easy to handle. It is very easy to change the shaving heads, just click the button and release. It is easy to clean using the brush included. The epilator comes with a convenient bag for storing the device and all it's attachments. I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The epilator looks beautiful. Once you unbox, you get that “wow factor”. The blue colour suits the epilator well. It is very lightweight and compact - super comfortable to hold in a hand. The instructions are a bit confusing, as I have tried for a while to have a good proper read about the extra attachment and the speed varieties, but had to figure it out myself at the end, as all the leaflets included were not very clear on the basics I needed to know.

At first, I tried the dry epilating version, and it was so much less painful than using all my previous epilators. Even the shortest hairs were being pulled out, without the strong pain I was used to and was kind of waiting for out of habit. The light feature was brilliant to guide me and speed up the process. The extra attachment is also great for that extra bit of guidance, but not really necessary. The charge is very long-lasting, which I really appreciate, as every time I picked my epilators in the past, I was not able to use them, because the charge was always gone.

The wet epilating version was also amazing. I believe, it provided even less pain, as the pores were already open from the bath/shower steam. I do not have much time to spend in the bathroom though, as I have a busy toddler, so I prefer to use the dry epilation while looking after him.

Another thing which surprised me was how my legs did not have red spots and irritation all over, immediately after epilation. And I hardly had any ingrown hairs a few days after!

Just wish it had a lovely case to store the epilator in.

I am still super happy with this new epilator, so I will be throwing out my old one asap!

This isn’t honestly as bad. It’s definitely pinchy but a lot more deal able than the older ones. Not sure if they’ve changed or I have.

This feels really nice to hold and isn’t bulky at all. It charged really quickly and has two speeds. I found that if my skin was really dry, it didn’t seem to grab the hair as easily. Where as if I had been moisturising it made a difference. because it is so light, pressure I felt was needed at times too. However, I really like this and will be using it regularly.

It’s not painful ,I mean the thought of it plucking your hairs out multiple at a time sounds it but it really isn’t and it lasts far longer than shaving ,in saying that there are attachments to use as a shaver which I use for my underarms.The battery is long lasting and once fully charged can use it a good few times before recharging.They've definitely improved them over the years and I am more than impressed with its performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to be chosen to test this product in exchange for a review and this is my honest review. This device is fantastic! It has made such a big difference and I haven't touched my razor since I got it. I am living a much less hairy life and loving every second!

My favourite attachment is the standard epilator head. I used it with the guard for the first use which was helpful while getting used to it but I now prefer to use without it to get over all the lumps and bumps on my legs and over my knobbly knees. The light is brilliant and really does help you to see any stray hairs you may have missed. The first time I used it I found the pain levels initially quite unpleasant. However, it's nothing like that now as I can easily maintain smooth legs and there is never that much hair to remove. My legs are smooth for days compared to when I shaved them I could feel stubble almost immediately. It's been brilliant for under arms too and that was way less painful than anticipated. I haven't had any irritation and just moisturize after I'm finished and apply deodorant straight away. My skin is fairly hardy though so if you're sensitive do be careful. This device can be used in the shower as well as out. My preference is to use it when I'm just out of the shower so I can sit on my bed to use it but it's great that it is waterproof for shower use.

The bikini trimmer and shaving head are great and do the job brilliantly. I haven't had any nicks or cuts from any of the attachments.

The body brush and pedicure attachments work surprisingly well! My feet were so soft after I used the pedicure attachment so I was super pleased that this set came with it. I use the brush as a dry brush for before I shower and it does a really effective job of preparing my skin for epilating. It is the same attachment for these two parts - just pull off the brush or pedicure attachment and push on the other one.

It charges fairly quickly and I'm able to use it about 6 times before the light shows it needs charging again and I am using multiple attachments each time so I am very pleased with battery life. It's easy to clean and comes with a little brush to help keep the heads clean. I like that it comes with a pouch for storing all the parts and they do all fit in the bag easily.

Also happy to report that I no longer have shaving rash which I always had before. My legs are infinitely more smooth and that smoothness lasts way longer than when I shaved. I don't think they suggest this epilator is for anywhere other than the body, but I have found it very effective for grabbing those annoying chin hairs that peri-menopause has gifted me with. I am thrilled with this device and would highly recommend. Don't be put off after the first use. That's the worst it'll be!

Since this epilator is definitely an investment for years, I think it should come with a storage bag or purse. A proper bag would help keep it safe, clean, and organized, especially for travel or long-term storage.

It would also be great if future versions offer even longer battery timing for added convenience.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective epilator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the first impressions of the subtle lilac tones of the packaging to the ergonomically designed epilator itself, this impresses me no end. Open opening you're greeted by a gorgeous lilac insert and then after that the product itself. It's sleek and lightweight, already a good start. The little section next to the epilator contains the extra accessories and heads for the product. All have their own small bags to protect from any damage and all are non bulky. The charging cable is as expected and suitable for USB ports and USB plugs.

First use i went for the epilator, with hair growth relatively short just over 0.5mm, the epilator had absolutely no problem at all plucking. It's got great balance in the hand, a handy light to see hairs you may miss and most importantly it's painless. It also features an added extra or a pro guide to stretch and keep skin taught but that wasn't necessary for myself. Having tried other epilators before this is the best I've tried yet. I was very surprised at the ease in which it handled the job.

When i decided to try the shaving head for under the arms....wow is all I can say, like butter. Honestly didn't even know it had done it's job as it was ridiculously smooth and no iritation on the skin, no matter the direction of it, I had to look in the mirror to double check.

The bikini trimmer is also very smooth and no snagging occurred which is obviously great for the sensitive bikini line. The trimmer also has a guard aswell as the shaving head.

The pedicure head is small but powerful, looking at it I doubted it would do much for my heels and soles but it certainly did make a difference that I could feel and see.

The price is a little high,however, for all the features and just for being so smooth and painless I would recommend it. It makes me look forward to looking after myself and feels like a little bit of luxury.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hadn’t used an epilator for many years. It used to feel so painful and you had to made sure you had longer hair for it to work properly. However with the Philips 9000 I was able to achieve smooth legs with minimal discomfort and it worked on short hairs as well.

As you can use it in the shower the hair follicles are able to be removed with much less irritation. I used the exfoliating attachment a few days before I wanted to epilate which meant I have hardly any ingrown hairs as I would have expected with epilating after a week or so.

The device charges quickly and as it has over an hour battery charge and I haven’t needed to keep recharging. The fact that it is cordless and so lightweight means I can easily epilate my underarms, legs and bikini line.

I would highly recommend this product, if you’ve been put off by painful epilating experiences from years ago this really isn’t the case any more. The Philips 9000 has left my legs smooth and I can easily top up any patches I missed or shorter hairs.

It comes in a handy bag for storage and all packaging for cardboard to be recycled which I really liked.

Overall this is a fantastic, easy to use to epilator and now I need never to use a razor again!
