Sony CECHZA1 AC PS3 adapter will charge this
The scanner is very good. The duplex scanning saves time. The device is small and well designed. My main concern when I bought this device was reading that it couldn’t be charged from the wall and had to be connected to a PC. After a bit of research and reading around I purchased a Sony CECHZA1 AC PS3 adapter which has 2 USB outlets. I can confirm that this adapter charges this scanner from the wall. It’s not as convenient as just plugging a USB cable in to the wall but comes close. A bit frustrating I needed additional outlay to solve this problem but it works.
I hope this info is of use to existing owners and other prospective buyers.

I am very happy with this item so far, Especially with the micro SD card, of which other makes do not have.
Great Hardware software need some improved UI
The quality of this scanner is brilliant along with the two sided scanner it made digitising my old documents and photos a breeze. The interface is a bit data and using on iOS device leaves a little to be desired but at the end of the days it’s functional and does want it is suppose to do.

Fantastic scanner.
I already have a scanner attached to a printer but I wanted to scan a box of old photos and needed something less cumbersome.
This scanner is portable. So I have scanned all my photos directly to OneDrive whilst watching the TV.
I now use the scanner to scan everything - documents, receipts, you name it!
Why keep paper when you can scan.
