[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find that the Phillips Series 6000 Wet and dry electric shaver is so easy to use and gives me a comfortable shave. I prefer to use it either with shaving foam or in the shower and find this gives me a closer comfortable shave with less irritation. I have now discarded my older electric shaver which was noisy and regularly left me with nasty rashes. The shaver unit itself is not heavy making it great for travelling and with the battery life lasting more than a fortnight it’s great for holidays as there is no need to bring the charging cable. It’s very easy to remove the shaving attachment which just clicks off letting you quickly change to the precision trimmer for sideburns etc. To clean the shaver it’s only a matter off running it under the tap I found best done after every shave. The built in indicator is a handy little feature which flashes orange letting you know you have one shave left and it’s time recharge the battery. Overall I found the Phillips Wet and dry shaver gives me a good close shave without irritating my skin in half the time and would definitely recommend.

I have been using it for a week now and not had shaving rash once.

Only problem is it doesn't come with a English plug to charge it but can purchase one for a couple of pounds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So tried the series 6000 wet and dry today and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I have had electric razors in the past and my one complaint is that they never seem to give a close enough shave, this was by far the closest shave I have ever had from an electric razor. The design is nice, feels nice and comfortable to hold and use and the weight is nice too, doesn't feel too heavy or unwieldy. The only complaint that I have is that it does not come with a charging stand, that would have been a nice feature to include. Xx

doesn't give the perfect clean shave it promises, still feel faint stubble after a shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] usually a wet shaver however decided to try and dry shave, very pleased with results to be fair. no nasty rashes or shave spots nice neat close shave. i have used it daily for the past 2 weeks i do like to swap and change between beard stubble and clean shave and this ticks all the boxes for me. quick charge around an hour give or take and lasts a while, im getting about fours days per full charge

The quick charge feature for a quick shave is also very good if you forgot to plug it in and desperately need a shave. I really like the Skin Guard mode as it really works. I have very sensitive skin and always after using electric shaver my skin was irritated, but with this shaver the irritation was minimum. Possibility of using this shaver dry or wet with shaving foam or gel further reduces the irritation of the skin. It is very well designed and built, easy to clean and use. It feels good in hand. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a good shaver, but definitely to people who have sensitive skin.

This razor works fine on my face and chin, but leaves my neck stinging, irritated and raw, whether it was used wet or dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I generally wet shave but love that I have the option to do either with this shaver. I switched from a cheaper product looking for something that causes less irritations when used daily. Upon opening the box it’s a nice piece of kit and easy to use. Wet shaving it saved so much time and created a clean smooth shave. No more missed bits and my skin felt amazingly smooth.

I decided to try the dry shave while short on time and although I prefer a wet shave it’s nice to have an option on days I need it. Again it was smooth and no nicks or irritation.

With a quick charge time and decent battery life and battery indicator it’s no hassle and doesn’t need charging daily. I use it with skin guard mode however found irritation minimal without it anyway.

The smartclean system is a good idea, easy to use and certainly helps keep the shaver in good condition.

It’s easy to clean and maintain and the precision trimmer is perfect for the awkward bits. Overall I really enjoyed the shaver and will definitely continue using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For someone who has always used a razor everyday this Philips shaver was positively received, my shave is close, easy and quick with this shaver. The shaver is light weight and easy to use and clean which is quite important when shaving everyday.

I actually use shavers for my head as I keep my beard about a number #5/#6, for that I use a Philips Oneblade so only seemed right to try another philip shaver for my head. It’s very comfortable to use in hand and the skin guard means there’s no nicks on my head/neck. The blades easily cut the different lengths and manage the contours of my head. I can use it with or without foam and in the shower, it’s so easy to use and clean barely any mess. Couldn’t recommend it enough

It is efficient, quick, easy to store, quick to charge, long lasting. It works perfectly on my hair and leaves my face feeling very smooth. My wife even commented that my hair after shaving feels very smooth, even better than when using a manual shaving method. I love the fact that I can use this shaver in the shower and also that it has a interchangeable heads with the hair trimmer and nose/ear hair trimmer also available. I used all aspects of the shaver and I cannot fault anything. i have been using the shaver every day for the last 3 weeks and I am extremely happy with the results. I would highly recommend the product to anyone who is looking for w new shaver. I also love the pouch the shaver comes with.

His shaving rash has gone down a lot since using this one as he has very sensitive skin. I would definitely recommend this product.

Ive used it both with shaving foam and dry and I prefer the wet shave for the fresh clean shaven look and dry for 3 day stubble affect. It gives a nice close shave and glides very easily leaving my skin with a lot less irritation than other razers. It has some great features, it charges very quickly and battery lasts ages so less time between charges, its self cleaning function is amazingly handy and it comes with a strudy travel case and a useful precision trimmer great for side burns or goatees. Its really light weight and the attachments are really easily changed. All in all a cracking little Shaver! Very happy with it.

Nowhere on the webpage does it mention it has only a bathroom, 2-pin charger option. Useless for a private home without one of these plug sockets. Will be sending back ASAP and expecting a full refund without delay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow my partner has been using the Philips shaver series 6000 for a few weeks now and it’s amazing, a clean shave every time and so smooth leaving his skin so soft. He was using disposable blades and would get irritation and it was also time consuming. Best thing ever using the Philips shaver, love the design and size, it’s lightweight, the trimmer is an added bonus gets the job done for trimming nasal hair. It charges really quickly and last a few hours. No matter how he used it wet or dry it did a perfect job. It’s very easy to follow the instructions and easy to clean. would definitely recommend to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impressions of the Phillips 6000 wet & dry shaver were very positive.

The shaver is lightweight, sits comfortably in my hand and is easy to manoeuvre. It is also almost silent.

It gives a nice close shave on the first pass, no need to go over areas again and therefore gives a quick shave. More importantly, there was no skin irritation or redness afterwards. Multiple heads and springs allow it to follow your natural contours really well. The SkinGuard mode is accessed by a button just underneath the power button and this reduces the power of the blades helping to protect the skin. This doesn’t appear to affect the cut in any way which is great.

I have used both the wet and dry shave and the wet shave does give the better close cut shave but this is to be expected.

The shaving head comes away from the main shaver with a firm pull to allow the attachment of the two accessories that come in the box. One attachment being a nose trimmer and the other a precision trimmer for sideburns etc. The attachments are a bit fiddly to fit at first but once fitted, they are secure and you soon learn how to fit efficiently.

The shaver has an led display for info on battery life, when to charge and when to clean. The shaver gives you 60 minutes of cordless shaving and takes an hour to charge from empty. It is easily cleaned by rinsing underneath a tap.

Accessories include a nice hard travel case, cleaning brush, power lead with shaving plug and the two attachments mentioned above.

Overall, a great shaver

Much prefer using the product wet but that is purely personal preference. The ease of the head moving when you move it around your face is just brilliant. Also the added attachment for precision is just fantastic. Very precise and makes a superb cut.

He said that using the new Philips series 6000 on his neck and cheek area and said it honestly feels very similar to the close shave he expects from a wet razor.

The Philips charged very rapidly and is surprisingly quiet and vibration-free in your hand. Swapping the main shaver head for the precision trimmer is simplicity itself and it does a decent job of keeping the edge of his beard well-defined.

The bottom line is that this Philips Series 6000 provides easily the best shave he has have ever experienced from an electric razor. The performance of this superb shaver will certainly not disappoint you.
