Although this product seems to works very well, we have a problem with the filters constantly showing as needing replacing. We've had the unit for approximately 8 months and have so far replaced one of the filters once and now need to replace both. This has proved to be very costly within a less than 12 month period! The filters are supposed to last up to 12 months (carbon) and up to 24 months (hepa) but this simply isn’t the case.

I am happy with my Philips Air Purifier. What a great product. Improvement in air quality is noticeable already on the first day of use. A great feature is that it automatically detects air pollution and switches itself on. I noticed differences in the quality of sleep, also my asthmatic son stopped coughing at night, so I recommend it for people with asthma and allergies. The air purifier was easy to connect to the app, it took me only a few minutes. I really like the fact that you can control it via apps. A great app function is that it shows the state of the filter pollution, so you know when it needs to be replaced. I use my air purifier every day, during the day in the living room and in the bedroom at night. A great product, I definitely recommend Philips Air Purifier.

The advertising speaks to a better, healthier lifestyle, those is not something I recognise. Poor product with extortionately expensive consumables!

My daughter suffers from many allergies that so far, no medications have been able to ease! I only wish I’d thought to try one of these incredible machines years ago! At the press of a button, air quality is visible and easy to monitor. We were amazed how much the numbers went up when dusting and making her bed but also at how fast the purifier seemed to lower them! The machine is easy to operate, costs little to run and is incredibly quiet! We love it!

Absolutely recommend this product!! I have allergies to my cat and I was taking so much medication but still i was having a very difficult time. It got so bad that I had trouble breathing properly, I was even considering giving my cat away. The last option was to buy this because I thought it was quite expensive. However, I must say this is probably one of the best investments I have ever made. The allergies are better than ever before, sometimes I even forget that I have allergies. I only take one pill now for allergies compared to three before as well as sprays, taking distance from my cat and separating everything.

This purifier is literally magical, I’m so very happy with it. The air has never been so fresh and clean, I can breathe again and I feel so much better.

This has been an amazing experience! This hard-working purifier has totally changed the quality of the air over the last 9 weeks. It is the most unobtrusive improvement that anyone could have to enjoy purer air in their home - it is virtually silent and has not disturbed our sleep. On the contrary, this unit has vastly improved the sleep quality in our house and, after the past few weeks, we are seeing the benefits of a 'breathe easy' sleep.

What seemed, at first, like a lot of functions/lights/levels is now a way of life and the purifier is incredibly easy to operate and adjust. The filter is very to clean/maintain and the guesswork is taken out of the situation by the unit's display. Added to this is the fact that the unit has an attractive design that blends in to any room.

I frequently talk about things that impress me but I have never raved so much, to anyone who'll listen, about how excellent this piece of equipment is. It's a five-star appliance.

I don't think I have used all it's features yet, but my bedroom feels fresher than ever before.

What I really love is how you can see the pollutants on the phone app when you spray perfume or hairspray, or even just having the window or door open!

I've been using this air purifier for about 2 months now and am very pleased with it. It's good value for all the readout features you get, fairly compact and a nice enough design that I don't mind it being visible. I went for this more compact version as I thought I could move it from room to room rather than have a larger more expensive version getting in the way. Glad I did; this model is easy to pick up and move around the house. I leave it in a room with the door closed and it doesn't seem to take long to clear the air. I've left it on in my bedroom overnight and it goes into a night mode that is really quiet.

Very pleased with my purchase.

I am aware there is dust flying about that I can’t see but I was utterly shocked to see how much! As expected from Phillips the unit is a nice design that will fit in any room of any style. The footprint of the unit is small and holds its stature well on both hard and soft surfaces. Air is pulled through the front and blown upwards through the rear. On the top is a black control panel in a matte finish, this is preferred to a piano black which is a fingerprint finish. The display is simple, modern and the Night sense feature keeps the display off at night keeping your bedroom nice and dark.

Sound

On its lowest speed or night mode you will barely hear it. This is something Phillips has nailed and is a key feature of this model. You could put this unit in the nursery over winter to keep the air fresh and the room warm.

Filters

Pre-filter - Large objects such as hair and skin are caught here. This filter isn’t replaced and is washed.

Carbon filter - Activated carbon filter removes chemicals, gasses, and odours. The app will let you know when they need changing. I have been running my daily unit for 2 months and am currently at 95%.

HEPA filter - Captures micro particles, allergens, pollen moulds etc. After 2 months of use my filter is 97%.

I have a smart home air quality sensor and they verified the reduction in pollution as the system ran.

Other

Night sense mode automatically drops the LED and lowers the fan speed.

Childlock works well it is easy for an adult to arm and disarm as the unit is a great height for toddlers to push buttons on.

The app provides you with tracking data of pollution and allergen levels. You can set a schedule for on and off time as well as control the device directly from the app. I had some issues with losing connection to the device via the app and assume these will be fixed in update. I have not been able to control the device using other smart home sensors yet.

The unit is very light and easily portable if you wish to move it between rooms.

I would recommend this and product and will be looking at adding additional units to other rooms within the house.

It works so well and is a great size for my lounge, it will definitely help eliminate pollen during summer and ease my allergies. It's lovely and well made, I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is has made a significant improvement to the air quality in my home, I have used to eliminate cooking smells, but mainly in my bedroom, the night time setting is great and you would barely know it was there. The air has improved my mild asthma and I wake up feeling less wheezy. I have it on during the day & off I use night mode when I go to bed. I have not yet had to clean or change the filters. The turbo mode is great for that initial boost and a visible change can be felt when the air has been filtered, there are 3 fan settings and I love that the light changes colour when the air reaches maximum quality. The app keeps me updated to the air quality, i have set this to notify me of any changes.

It hardly takes up any room and is easy to move about as and when it is needed

It has significantly reduced the amount of visible dust I see on my furnishings and helps me immensely with my dust allergy. Let me start by pointing out that I have two young children and a dog. Philips 1000i Series AC1214/60 Air Purifier has a HEPA filter. You can leave it running through the night because it is really quiet. The biggest pros for me is that Philips1000i Series AC1214/60 Air Purifier has a child lock function so I do not have to worry about my kids checking every single function. This air purifier has a sleek look and it is light, so it is not hard to move it around the house. It has 3 settings: Auto, Anti-allergy and night sensing mode. It also has 4 fan speeds (if you need a cons when checking out the reviews then the highest fan speed is a little loud, but honestly I have seen louder; and the air coming out is cold - that is it - no more bad stuff for me)

1000i Series AC1214/60 Air Purifier can be managed through the phone app and what is great here it tells you when you will need to change the filters. After testing it for around a month I can say that I do feel the difference, especially looking at my kids ( less sneezing and runny noses) and I would (and will) strongly recommend this product.

It's quiet and I'm able to place it in my children's bedroom without disturbing their sleep. It's really easy to use and I like the clear number indication of the air quality in the room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips 1000i air purifier has exceeded my expectations.  I am very pleased with the use of this product, within 2 weeks I noticed a significant improvement in the air quality at home.  The device is quiet and quickly improves air quality, I tested it in every room in the house, it works great in the bedroom for the night, first of all, because you can't hear it at all, and secondly, before we started using the purifier, we always woke up with a cough or runny nose  And since using this device, all such allergy symptoms have disappeared. Thirdly, we also have a dog at home, the smell of which, however, was always a little smelling, and since using this device, this problem has also disappeared. I really like the fact that the device works great with the mobile application,  thanks to this, I can remotely control it even when outside the home and thanks to the application I can see when the filter needs to be replaced or cleaned.  The purifier looks very nice.  I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their quality of life.  You will not even feel its size at home, because it is a fairly small purifier.  In fact, it may turn out to be an interesting addition to the decor ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Phillips i1000 air purifier for a few weeks I have to say its impressive. As I am allergic to dust & pollen (hay fever); I tend to sneeze and cough alot but after using the air purifier for a few weeks I notice that I sneezed and cough less often. What I like about the i1000 is that it’s quiet especially at bedtimes; I barely notice that its even on!

Where I find the air purifier really shines in my opinion is working from home. When working long hours at home with the doors and windows closed (to prevent noise) the room would start to feel stuffy (especially in the summer) while working, but with the air purifier in the room, it would feel less stuffy and the room felt cooler like it was acting like a AC while cleaning the air.

The air purifier can be controlled either by pressing the touch sensitive buttons on the machine or through an app which is a nice addition as it will log how much indoor allergen index & pm2.5 were there in the room per hour and will give a recommendation/advice on how to reduce it. I would recommend the Phillips i1000 air purifier to my friends and family and also to people that suffer from asthma, hay fever and dust allergies as it helps reduce the symptoms.

I preferred to keep it in my 5 years old daughter’s bedroom as she has an asthma. I was thinking, air in my home was clean until i had this air purifier. But i am shocked when it shows the colour and numbers in the room. It has a scale in the instructions booklet and you can check how clean is air. When it is a good air it turns to blue. When it is Auto mode all night in her bedroom, it is always blue and i can notice how pure is the air in the room. My daughter has a very serious blocked noise issue but after i had this air purifier she has never had it yet. But it is very sensitive, when kids are waking up and dressing up for school it turns to purple very quickly. But it does a good job again and purifier the room very quickly. It is very quite in sleep mode. I live in a 4 bedroom house and it is enough for my room sizes. It is very easy to use and carry to another room.

I decided to set the purifier up in my bedroom and see if it could help improve the quality of my sleep. I found that using the purifier at night drastically reduced some of my allergy symptoms and allowed me to wake up feeling less congested. The ‘sleep mode’ is extremely quiet and doesn’t disturb me while sleeping at all. The LED lights can also be dimmed as to not disturb you while in a dark room. I absolutely love using the ‘turbo mode’ after eating a meal as it removes any leftover cooking smells within minutes. The purifier has a host of innovative features (such as the smartphone app) making it a breeze to set up, and the stylish visual display makes it a pleasure to use.

There is a scale how polluted your air is in the room. Device showing current level(with color and number) of pollution in the room. I located product in my bedroom. I was shocked when scale went up after dusting and making bed. 15 minutes later on air was clear on good level again. I knew the there is a lot in the air during dusting but didn’t expect that much, and that device deal with that in just few minutes.

After first night I woke up and I could feel fresher air than before I think thanks to filtration and better circulation due to fan. I haven’t notice less dust on furniture’s but well is not for that.

I wish it has longer cable.

Another thing is even on night sensitive mode i noticed few times that when my kid kicked his duvet pollution growing and fan automatically switch to higher level and is a bit noisy ... so i have to change to speed 1 which is super quiet and switch to automatic mode in the morning ... wish that was setting to set up on 1 all the time during night and automatic during the day...

I used to sneeze a lot in the mornings and I thought it's allergy to early mornings but this disappeared since I've got Philips air cleaner. It's good for my child to sleep in this pure air as it's colder now and we less oftej go outside and we open Windows less likely. The device is easy to assemble and use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Series 1000i ticked all the boxes I wanted for an air purifier! Not only did it clean the air, actively as it moves, but it also has the charcoal filter to remove any odours!

Positioned in my living room, it has significantly reduced the amount of visible dust I see on my furnishings. Being an asthma/allergy sufferer and having two dogs, I can feel in my own self that the air is cleaner, and fresher! No more doggy fragrance after wet walks.

The filters are easy to install and remove, one of which being washable. They appear to also have a decent expected life on them too which shouldn't necessitate changing too often and then becoming a financial burden in using the unit.

I have predominantly used the Auto mode which is excellent. After having a main door open, the unit will pick up that there are pollutants in the air and almost instantaneously increase the air flow to clear these without me having to do a thing, lowering again when the air quality has improved.

All in all, an excellent piece of kit for peace of mind, and less allergy sniffles!
