Kokemukset ja arvostelut

Loistava tuote, ainoa miinus pieni vesisäiliö joka kaipaa usein täyttöä.

Ei korvaa täysin silitysrautaa, mutta suurimman osan silitysraudan tarpeesta kyllä. Jonkin verran nopeampi ja huomattavasti helpompi käyttää kuin silitysrauta. Siisteimpiä tilanteita varten juhlapaidat pitää edelleen silittää, mutta pääosin höyryttämällä pärjää riittävän hyvin.

Sanottakoot alkuun, että sain tuotteen lahjaksi, enkä itse varsinaisesti missään vaiheessa kokenut tarvetta sille. Se voi vähän vaikuttaa arvosteluun. Olen kuitenkin kokeillut laitetta mielenkiinnolla. En osaa sanoa, onko vika käyttäjässä vaiko laitteessa, kun kokemukseni on, että silitysraudalle tämä ei pärjää niin mitenkään ja höyryttämisestä saa lähinnä pahan mielen. Olen käyttänyt laitetta lähinnä erilaisiin ohuisiin tekokuituisiin (sifonki, viskoosi...) naisten puseroihin ja mekkoihin. En osaa sanoa sen toimivuudesta esim. miesten kauluspaitoihin. Pari minuuttia tämän laitteen kanssa mekon kimpussa, enkä huomannut yhtään mitään eroa. Silitysraudalla ja -laudalla mekko olisi jo sileä kauttaaltaan. Laitteen tehokas höyryntuotto vaatii kokemukseni mukaan sitä, että laitteen höyrypää lasketaan vähintään kymmenen sekunnin välein lattiaa kohti. Tämä liike hidastaa ja rasittaa rannetta. Vesisäiliö on kehno ja vuotaa herkästi. Yllätyin nähdessäni täältä tuotteen hinnan, olisin odottanut laitteen maksaneen korkeintaan puolet tuosta.

Laitetta kehutaan helposti mukana kuljetettavaksi. Kaikki on tietysti suhteellista, mutta itse pelkillä käsimatkatavaroilla reissaavana en näe sellaista tilannetta, jossa lähtisin tällä laukkua täyttämään. Vehje on kuitenkin monta kymmentä senttiä pitkä eikä ihan kevyinkään.

Tiivistettynä sanoisin, että jos et jostain syystä voi mitenkään käyttää silitysrautaa ja -lautaa, on tämä luultavasti tyhjää parempi hankinta. Villakangastakkien ym. pinnan freesaamisessa voi myös olla hyvä tuote. Omassa käytössäni ei mene jatkoon.

Meillä hajosi tästä aiempi malli usean aktiivisen käyttövuoden jälkeen, joten ostimme mielellämme uudemman mallin samasta tuotteesta. Yhtä hyviä samantasoisia kilpailevia tuotteita ei tunnu olevan. Tällä suoristuu hyvin vaatteet ja verhot. Hyvä reissulle mukaan.

Ainut miinus isohko koko, erityisesti reissuille mukaan otettaessa.

Höyrystin ollut reilut 6kk käytössä:

Teho on juuri sitä tasoa, mitä teknisissä tiedoissakin kerrotaan ja ollut mukavan nopea ja helppo käyttää vaatteiden arkiseen suoristamiseen.

Lievästi ryppyinen puvun paitakin suoristui, mistä vähän yllätyin.

Höyrystin ei pysty taklaamaan todella ryppyistä, esim. muuttolaatikossa pitkään kurtistunutta vaatetta, joten tämmöisille tarvitsee näyttää perinteistä rautaa.

Miinuksena se, että vesi loppuu aika nopeasti, mutta tankki on helppo irroittaa ja täyttää.

Vesi riittää minulla 2-3 puseroon.

Silkkipuserot menevät vauhdilla, joten niitä saa varmasti neljäkin yhdelllä tankilla.

Aika isohko otettavaksi mukaan käsimatkatavaroihin, vie n. kenkäparin verran tilaa.

Ok tuote, vesisäiliö riittää kahteen paitaan tai yhteen hameeseen. Vesisäiliön mekanismi ei ole suomalaisen insinöörin suunnittelema. Kuumenee nopeasti eikä tarraa.

En ostaisi koska hinta on liian korkea. Vaikka ostinkin.

Mukana tulee hyvä palomieshanska jota vasten silittäminen onnistuu nopeasti. Vedän tällä työvaatteiden etumukset ja hihat sileiksi viidessä minuutissa.

Helppo käyttää ja vaatteet sain nopeasti aamulla sileäksi.

Siinähän se. Ei hämmentävän hyvä, mutta ajaa asiansa nyt kun tuli hankittua.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never really considered a garment steamer in the past but I am now converted. This garment steamer heats up quickly and is so easy to use. It has a long cord making it easy to manoeuvre it where you need it.

I found I still needed to iron shirts for work as it wasn’t quite up to par for those but overall it is so quick and easy to use especially when in a rush. Great product.

The set up for this is very simple - Pull the tank, fill with water and then plug in and wait for the light to come on.

This machine helps speed up the time for ironing as you can hang your garment up and use the steamer vertically or horizontally to remove those hard to get creases.

I tried using this firstly on a thin blouse which I normally tend to iron and this helped smooth our those wrinkles and creases.

I think the extra expense of "non-iron shirts", that you can just tumble dry, take out of the dryer when still warm and put straight away, is worth every penny. I actually take pride in the fact that the only thing I regularly iron is my Christmas tablecloth which I iron this every single Christmas Eve, without fail!

So I was keen to try out the Philips Steam & Go and the first thing I tackled was my son's new Scout shirt. This is a fairly thick cotton material and came folded up in a plastic bag so you can imagine the creases.

I unpacked the Steamer for the first time and searched in the box for some sort of "Quick Start" leaflet but there was not one so I just looked at it and worked out how to fill the tank pretty easily. I plugged it in and a light came on, and when it went off after less than a minute, the Steamer was ready to use.

I put the shirt on a hanger and started with the back. Moving the steamer up and down I was delighted with how quickly the creases fell out, while the fabric stayed dry. It was quick and simple to do the whole garment in far less time than it would have taken me to iron it although towards the end I had to refill the tank because it ran out of steam.

I am very impressed with the results and although I won't be steaming every single item of clothing that my family wear, I am confident will come in very useful for the occasional creased item or for freshening up things that have been in the cupboard for some time.

Brought for travelling so don't have to worry about finding an iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using it for a week and it's been great if you need to use it for a quick job. Not recommend it if you want to use it in every single item you ironed as it would take ages. But it's been quite helpful when I take an item of clothing out of my wardrobe and I just need to iron it quickly. It saves me time as I don't need the iron board.

Not very heavy and very easy to use.

3 things I didn't like:

1. The water tank is really small, therefore you need to keep refilling it.
2. It doesn't come with anything to rest it while you use, so you need to be careful when putting it down because the plate will be hot.
3. Even though is a great product, I’d say it can be quite expensive for what it is for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handheld steamer is a great little gadget which is ideal for quick touch ups on clothes that have creased whilst hung up and for travelling. It is lightweight, very easy to use and heats up in moments. The best thing about this steamer is no more burns to your clothes. It is also great for delicate clothes which have beading or those hard to reach areas such as collars or pockets. You also don't need to take out the ironing table, clothes can be steamed whilst hung up.

However the only downside i would say is the size of the water tank. It has to be refilled for each garment. But don't let this put you off, this is a incredible steamer, I can't believe I've lived all these years without it and i would highly recommend.

The steamer has a 3 cn tank for water that last no more than 30 seconds! and the steam is super weak! totally usseles! dont buy it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn't expect to particularly like this, but with travelling a lot for work, sometimes my suits look like I have slept in them, so it made sense to try it.

Normally I have to take them out of the case and hang them in the shower, and pretty much hope! This time (just in case) I immediately tried the steamer, and wow! the jackets were within about 4 mins, crease free, and a silk shirt albeit not perfectly crease free (you know what silk can be like) was looking pretty good too. I was that impressed, that we also took it on a short break, and my partner was equally pleased as it saved having to try and source an iron for his shirts. It will without any doubt become a regular travelling companion.

Have only tried it once in the home, and this was for curtains, not brilliant on its own (heavy curtains) but worked very well when using the supplied glove to create some tension on the fabric, and it did steam the windows up :-)

I found this product very easy to use right away. This has saved me alot of time as I often have to change at the last minute and im always in a rush due to having a baby, with this I no longer need to get my ironing board out just to rub over things that have slightly creased in my wardrobe and can just steam and go. I am very much looking forward to taking this product on holiday with me next week to touch up all our clothes when we unpack. Thankyou phillips for making day to day life a little easier !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is very useful little steamer to have on hand for getting out light creasing from clothes that have already been ironed but have been hanging or folded in your wardrobe or stuffed in your suitcase (if you're travelling). It's a bit bigger and weightier than I was expecting but still fairly portable and quite powerful for what it is.

The steamer is pretty easy to use - you just fill the mini water tank with tap water, plug it in and press the on switch; the light that comes on will go off when the steamer is ready to use (heat-up time is less than a minute). Point the steamer away from your face and press the steam trigger button a couple of times to get the steam flow going and then hold over your garment and press the trigger to get a continuous flow of steam, as required.

I personally found the steamer to be very effective in getting out creases from my clothes. My wardrobe is admittedly pretty full with little breathing room for my clothes, which tend to get a bit squashed as a result. I've tried the handheld steamer on dresses, t-shirts, skirts and blouses so far, as these tend to crease most easily in my wardrobe. You just hang up your garment, hold the steamer in one hand and use the glove provided to use the other hand to help stretch the garment a bit to smooth out the creases. It works! My garments are smooth and crease-free.

There's instructions and tips included in the manual for how best to angle and move the steamer depending on the type of garments you're de-creasing. You also get a little bristle attachment included in the box, useful for heavier weight garments like coats and jackets.

Overall quite pleased with my handheld steamer. It's powerful enough to do the job it's supposed to and really handy to have at hand to do de-wrinkle clothes quickly without having to get the iron and ironing board out. It's safe to use with lightweight, delicate fabrics too (which can be scary to iron). Only downsides I've noticed are a) it's a bit cumbersome due to the weight so I can only use it for short periods and b) it is on the pricey side considering there are cheaper handheld steamers available but it feels like a quality product to me

My husband has a casual linen suit jacket that he has been unable to wear because I couldn't iron it until this handheld steamer came to the rescue. I must say it took quite a while to get all the creases out and I had to fill the quite tiny water tank 3 times but this was a very stubborn garment. The bristles that you can clip on speeds up the process a lot.

This is also brilliant on my silk tops that I don't want to iron just to make it look crisp and show you mean business!

This handheld steamer is not a replacement for your trusty Philips steam iron but should be used as well as to help with suits, delicate tops, curtains, pillow covers - brilliant, and will be great to pack in your suitcase when on business trips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you hate getting out your ironing board because you're in a rush, don’t feel it's worth the effort for a single t-shirt or have clothes that have intricate embellishments or are made from delicate fabrics, this is for you.

I've tried it on jeans, t-shirts, silks, dry-clean only tailored jackets, heavily beaded dresses and bedding with great results. This made my job so much easier because it removes creases with the press of a button, minimal effort.

Will steam around two tailored jackets or a t-shirt and jeans with one tank. I will stick to an iron for the bigger jobs though, like curtains or when I have a lot to iron.

I have to say I was more than impressed with how the steamer easily removed all of the creases. The detachable water tank is easily removed and holds enough water to remove heavy creases on an individual garment. The heat proof glove comes in very useful. Highly recommend this product .
