This iron which was a replacement and this was the newer version, is good but so much heavier than the old one. I find the steam feature leaves a water trail which stain clothes on a lower temp

Not happy with this iron as it does not remove all creases. I would not recommend buying this lightweight iron.

The iron was great while it lasted. It unfortunately stopped working after 3.5 years.

Has all the features required and not heavy as previous iron. The which reviews of irons recommended this iron and at the price it is very good.

I brought this iron few months ago really disappointed with this Philips Iron as it lost its power so early

I do question the reliability of this product. Worked for 3 days during which period it was fine. However it suddenly stopped working, checked the fuse/socket , definitely an issue with the iron. Now the inconvenience of re-packing it to return it to Philips. Yes I re-cycled the box as I would never have believed an iron would fail so quickly!

I used my new iron today and it gave excellent results, I did consider exchanging it as it is heavier than my old one but,having used it I am very pleased with the results and I will get used to the weight. I would recommend this iron for its looks and ironing results.

The buttons are large and feel well built. The Iron itself is lightweight and functions very well. It heats up fast and removes creases with ease.

I have been using this for over 2 weeks now each morning and have yet to find any faults with the unit.

The only issue is that it did not include a plastic funnel to help when pouring water into the Iron

Seems to get rid of creases quite quickly without having to go over them loads of times. I found the settings quite clear and easy to change. Also easy to fill with water.

I iron a fair bit throughout the week and this has made my life much easier. It takes half the time now. Instead of going over creases multiple times like I used to, a quick once over with this and my shirts are crease free.

The iron itself is easy to use. The cap to fill up is sufficiently large and so is the water storage capacity(320ml). The smoothness of the soleplate, plus being relatively light weight, makes it glide very easily across the board with little effort. The continuous steam boost is great for tackling those extra tough creases but I haven't had to use it much at all.

The handle has a great texture to ensure maximum grip too but can be a little uncomfortable after prolonged use. Perhaps a softer, rubber type material could be used for that extra comfort in the future.

The look and feel of the iron is modern and sturdy. I imagine I'll get many years out of this. And who would have thought a cord guide would be so useful? A nice little addition to the whole package.

I love the idea of the chord being clipped onto the ironing board which adds extra security when ironing. The iron itself is the perfect weight for me and is comfortable to use. I am very pleased with the results it gives me. Gets rid of tough creases with ease. Perfect results.

The steam function is great and the crease removal is efficient and the iron itself heats up very quickly. The vertical ironing feature makes it easy to iron hanging clothes such as curtains. The calc release is great for keeping the iron clean. This iron comes with an extra accessory to keep the wire from getting tangles while ironing and i think this is a very useful feature. The iron couldn’t have been any better!

The cord is pretty long so you won't find yourself stuck to a socket in the wall or the need to really have an extension socket to hand.

I suppose one of the main points is that you do not have to pre-set any temperatures. I've found the iron pretty easy to use and the de-scal feature is really handy. I have opted to use bottle water as the water from the tap is quite hard.

So, overall what do I think.....to date, it is the most simplistic iron I have had to use and has made a good job of any shirts I have tested with. I have to say it is really a joy to use this iron.

It got to temperature pretty quickly so no waiting around so long and I love the little add on cord holder, wish I’d had one years ago!
