Most of the reviews here are “part of a promotion”, praising how great this product is, which was the main reason why I bought it. However, the first time I used it after charged it fully, the battery last about 3 hours of pumping within 12 hrs of time. The second time I used it, the battery started turning off on its own after 30 mins, twice within 3 hours of time span. The battery wasn’t over heating and my milk was flowing. Additionally, it’s not so quiet, especially if you placed it on your desk. The milk cartridge doesn’t seal so well so each time when I poured my milk into a container, it leaked.

It’s sits comfortably inside my bra and has different settings. I’ve found it easy to clean which is always a bonus. The battery life is really good and is quick to charge to when needed. You can also use your phone charger which means one less thing to take along on the move. Overall I’ve been very happy with the product and would recommend to new mothers

It is battery operated and battery is rechargeable which makes it portable and can be used while you are busy doing other chores as your hands are practically completely free. It fits well under my breastfeeding bra and makes minimal noise so is practically unnoticeable.

It comes with hospital strength motor unit, a multifunctional cap and membrane, an ultra light collection cup and two different sizes of silicone breast shields and other small accessories. The breast shields could be purchased separately in different sizes. It is very easy to assemble and comfortable to wear. It operates on two different modes:

1. Simulation mode which simulates the breast to start the milk flow. This mode operates at 8 different suction levels which can be adapted according to your need.
2. Expression mode: this mode is for efficient milk removal after milk has started to flow. It has 16 different suction levels.

Overall this breast pump has all the features required to establish efficient and stable breastfeeding. It helps to prevent breast pain and discomfort and other complications related to breastfeeding.

It is more affordable than most of the top hands free breast pumps yet the product is incredible. It has a powerful suction which helped maintain my supply. The hands free aspect is fantastic as I could get on with household tasks and caring for my baby whilst pumping whereas with other pumps I had to sit and hold it which was tedious. I have nothing bad to say about this product it is well worth the money and makes breastfeeding /expressing easier and more enjoyable!

Originally with another pump we where gettin 3oz to 4oz. This Phillips hospital grade was 5oz to 6oz. It's very comfortable to use. Also it was easy to clean and sterilise. I would really recommend this. The battery life was impressive too and charged quite quickly. Wish we had used this from the start tbh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After testing Philips Avent SCF531/11 Single Electric Breast Pump for a while, I can say that I am happy with this product. The box is small and easy to carry when travelling long distances. The purple colour makes it easy to find in my suitcase. In my opinion just the charger is on the big side, uncomfortable when you attach it to your waist, as it feels heavy. When I’m at home or in a hotel room, I keep mine on a table or bed during pumping sessions, so I don’t feel the heaviness. The charging is fast and it lasts few sessions. For me, a full charge lasted 4 sessions, each one of 30 minutes. I am very pleased about that. I like that I can use the same cable as my phone, so I don’t have to carry a lot of cables with me. I also like the pump has different levels of suction, and I can choose what I find comfortable. The buttons have a simplistic design, which make them very easy to use. The instruction leaflet is translated in many languages, making the pump a good option for many mothers out there. The pump also comes with different cup sizes, all very comfortable, which is also a good thing.

First time when I put together the components, I found it was a bit difficult, but once I got used to it, I realised it is actually easy to assemble and detach the components for cleaning. Also, the cleaning and sterilising are also very easy.

As a downside for me, I would say the noise is a bit loud, but it is not something that puts me off using this pump. Also, I would have liked the milk collector container had a lid on, so I don’t have to worry about spilling the milk by mistake.

All in all, Philips Avent SCF531/11 Single Electric Breast Pump is a good quality product, it is very efficient for me and easy to use. Sometimes I just wish it was a double electric pump, so I could save a bit of time in the days I am very busy. Otherwise, I am happy to use the Philips Avent SCF531/11 Single Electric Breast Pump, as I get good results after each pumping session.

The suction is really good and doesn't lose suction with continued use like some pumps do. It's comfortable and I love that it has a large capacity as I have an oversupply. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the philips hand free breast pump for 3 weeks now. I have found the unit to be very easy to use, the instructions are clean and easy to read.

The product comes with different sized flanges and also has a measure included in the pack so you can check what size flange you should be using.

There are various levels of suction and I find as it's hands free you can use this anywhere.

My only slight negative would be the battery life could be a bit longer. It has 3 lights which go down as the battery reduces, I do feel there is not much notice that the battery is going to stop.

(I did 8-12 pumps a day x12 mins each, mimicking my child and it lasted for 6-8 of them on full charge) Charges quite fast too! And i used it with a portable charger on couple of occasions, how convenient was that! Lightweight and easy to carry in a bag with you. Easy to clean on the go with special pump wipes. Very comfortable and easy to use.

Bottom line I am very, very pleased with it and cannot recommend enough! Worth every penny! Wouldn’t change to something different now everything seems a little confusing and this felt so much easier and less stressful to use

Well made and I was worried about the suction if it would latch on properly..but there were no issues was super easy and I could get on with what I was doing and also keep a check on how much I was expressing. I'd definitely recommend this just to make life that bit easier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this machine a few times when need extra milk whilst working in the office, the machine itself is nice and pretty which is easy to pack away in a bag. The best feature for me is the cap for the breast suction. Which most other brands don’t have this which is very important when travelling and hygiene wise no dirt or dust goes into the suction area.

I gave 4* because it’s does take time to get used to and after awhile it works. But I must say it takes a few tries to get hold of it.

In terms of improvement I would recommend some picture instructions to show how it should be done rather than step to step list. Just to speed things up and make it easier for mums when juggling with baby.

Also I would like to add is make the suction options better and may need more power. But overall nice product.
