    My first widescreen display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the display, especially because I use it for work — spreadsheets in Excel, web browsers for various web UI tools, and messengers (Slack, Teams). With 45", I can flexibly choose what I want to have on the screen, and it’s very convenient.

The overall image quality is excellent, and the color reproduction is truly impressive — it makes both work and entertainment a pleasure.

For gaming, it’s smooth and enjoyable. The HDR could be brighter, and the display takes a little time to wake up from sleep mode, but these are minor points compared to the overall experience.

Overall, I really enjoy working and playing on this display. It’s a great choice for anyone who needs more screen space for productivity while also wanting an immersive experience for games.

    Top notch quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this monitor for a week now and it's definitely an all-round upgrade over my previous Ultra Wide. Text is very sharp which is great as i do 50/50 Productivity and Gaming. Colours are also very vibrant and the extra real-estate from the high resolution is great! I adjusted to the curve quickly and now i definitely Recommend!

Amazing monitor for gamers and editors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the LG 45 UltraGear OLED GX950, and it’s seriously impressive. The OLED display is next-level—rich colors and perfect blacks make both games and video content look stunning. The 240Hz refresh rate makes gameplay super smooth, and the ultra-fast response time gives you that edge in competitive titles. It’s not just great for gaming—editing videos on this screen is a dream. The color accuracy and clarity make it easy to spot every detail. Whether you’re playing or creating, this monitor delivers big time.

    Game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is a game changer, have excellent resolution, big screen 45 “.

Awesome colour and deep black, has very high screen refresh 330 hz,NVIDIA certified.

Not many computer work at this resolution which is w shame( not yet).

Is a great monitor for playing games but is high energy consuming.

As near to perfect as it can get for me.

Exceedingly impressed with this monitor, it's form factor, the image quality, it's build quality. Possibly the first of it's kind.Been blown away with it.

It's not too heavy so doesnt need to have a heavy duty monitor arm to hold it up (I have an Amazon Basic / re-badged Ergotron arm - and its nice and secure / doesnt droop). The included stand is fine of course - i just like it on an arm.

Display port 2.1 issue when in HDR (on Nvidia 50 series GPUs) has been resolved with Nvidia's latest driver update on 30/04 - for me at least (and worked fine in 1.4 mode anyway - with just some more DSC)

The only things I would comment in the negative - and these are minor for me.

    1. Price - obviously - it's expensive - but for me, was worth it!
    2. Semi-Matte coating - it's not aggresive - I would prefer glossy - but being that the curve is 800R this could actually be a bad thing if it was glossy. Monitor is not in any major way impacted by the matte finish - except perhaps on a full screen white, where the grain can be seen a little - non issue in games at all.
    3. The nits rating the monitors EDID reports to windows stubbornly sticks at circa 603 nits (with High Peak Brightness switched on), in either Gamer 1 or Gamer 2 modes... The monitor is rated at upto 1300 nits (for a very small window) - and aware from early reviews the monitor does indeed hit that on occasion. My understanding is that this is not actually a bug or issue - it is just that the MLA+ layer allows the monitor to go well above the 603 nits being reported. However, what is confusing to users IMHO is that I previously had an Alienware QD-OLED that was rated to 1000 nits and would accurately report via EDID to Windows that it would cap out at 993 nits. (this could be checked and corroborated in windows HDR calibration app). For the LG, it caps out / clips at 600 nits in same calibration app. I think it would be good for LG to actually clarify exactly here what the difference is between reported EDID nits and the advertised nits, and why (as looking at the sales particulars it very clearly says 1300 nits - which Windows does NOT report or corroborate) - I also had a 32inch 4k LG before, and that did exactly the same. I cannot measure this myself as I dont have a meter or calibration tool... but am aware that the likes of TFT Central do indeed confirm the monitor is reaching into the 1200's nits wise - if not more... I just dont know whether I should be telling windows or in games to set the clipping point at 1300 - or leave it at 603 as reported by the EDID and let MLA+ do the rest (and indeed if i set it to 1300 it would actually blow the image out). As stated - I don't believe this is actually a firmware issue - but would like LG to clarify 100% this is as intended)

In any case - the HDR representation on this monitor is superb anyway- so whilst it is a niggle for me - the whole package is still nothing short of outstanding. Bravo LG, Bravo.
