I purchased the MX6 after having the MX4’s mainly because a lot of the reviews were saying how good the noise cancelling was. I am not an audiophile so I can’t comment too much on the sound quality apart from to say that is is very good and I have no complaints. Some of the reviews have said that they are slightly tight and uncomfortable to wear for long periods, I have not found that to be the case, in fact I still find them a little loose but I do have a small head. As I say my main reason for buying them was the noise cancelling, a lot of my walking is along busy roads with traffic going past, I do find them good for the noise cancelling however I don’t know if I’m being overly expectant and want total noise cancelling but when I listen to pod casts or the music goes quiet I can still hear the traffic, not very loud but still there. I would recommend the MX 6’s but they are quite expensive for not perfect noise cancelling

Excellent battery life, Sound quality, noice cacellation and overall excellent product.

Sound quality is not great out of the box but after some fine tuning it gets better.

It's stylish and looks expensive...well it is expensive for what you get.

I’ve been trying these headphones for the past few weeks and wow am I impressed. I’ve worn them casually, to the gym, at home and they haven’t let me down in any areas at all. The sound quality is next to none, the noise cancelling being the star of the show. Before purchasing these I was undecided on what headphones to go, watched countless TikTok reviews and breakdowns of different brands, but I’m so glad I went for these! I couldn’t recommend them enough. My only critique I’d say is I’d wish they’d release a few extra colours like browns or some brighter maybe? Other than that 10/10.

The sound quality is amazing, especially considering the 30mm drivers, and the LDAC Bluetooth codec really helps. The Sound Connect app disconnects quite often, and the sound out of the box is a bit boxy, but with some EQ adjustments, you can achieve an almost audiophile-level profile.

This is my first ever Sony headphones. It is very disappointing that they couldn't supply a charger for such an expensive set of headphones. As a first impression this has annoyed me. This has nothing to do with environmental concerns this is Sony penny pinching.

I LOVE it - the noise cancellation is immaculate, there’s silenceeeee.

These are my first pair of noise cancelling headphones. I bought them for when I'm travelling to shut out the background noise of trains / planes. They've been a revelation! The noise cancelling is excellent, as is the overall sound quality. The app has lots of useful features although I've not found it necessary to change many of the default settings.

The only negative I've found is that the audio cable (if you need to use them wired) doesn't plug in easily - I thought they were faulty until I pushed the plug in much harder.

Perhaps I’m missing something but I’m not sure I see the value in this product. Build quality is good, case great, but I’m just not blown away by the sound quality or features. At this price I expected a more wow experience.

Sounds quality is excellent, noise cancelling is the best and it’s got great battery life.

The plastic material doesn’t really live up to the price point and feels a bit cheap. It would also benefit from a transparency mode or cleaner adaptive mode that allowed for conversations to come through clearer.

Poor response and bought 2 MX6 also had same issue . Really disapointed still not belive why MIC GOT Faulty. I have been using M4 Last 2 years it is perfecly working. I recommend sony to review completely.

Upgrade from XM5 to XM6 so pleased so far as I am very old and hard of hearing I am using to hear the TV speech via the Bluetooth the great noise cancelling helps

I waited and waited until I could afford it, and it was worth waiting for.

I bought these as a replacement for my mx4s which I lost these are a fantastic upgrade great build quality and sound. The noise cancelling is great for when your travelling

The sound quality on the Sony WH1000XM6 is good and overall they are pleasant to listen to, but there are a few things that really let them down for me.

The biggest issue is the noise cancelling behaviour. Sometimes it seems to ease off or let sound through when it detects people speaking, train announcements, or similar sounds, even when I actually want those sounds cancelled. That becomes frustrating very quickly, especially in public transport. It would also help a lot if these features were easier to control in a more direct and simple way in the app.

The multi device pairing sounds great on paper, but in practice it can be very annoying. If I am listening on one device or in the middle of a video call, and my phone rings, the sound from the call or media cuts out abruptly. Coming from Apple AirPods Max, that whole transition felt much better and less disruptive.

Another thing I do not like is having to press the power button every time I want to use the headphones. I understand it is meant to save battery, but it makes the experience feel less seamless. Having a proper head sensor to automatically power on and off when you put them on or take them off would be much better.

So overall, good sound, but the software behaviour and day to day usability still need improvement.

They have been so amazing and the best sound quality I've heard in a long time and on top of that the battery life lasts for a long time and that's great as they feel so nice to wear for long periods of time and they feel sturdy and made out of high quality materials. :)

I bought these headphones to replace my previous Sony headphones that had seen better days. I'm really glad that I did as the sound is superb & they really bring the music to life.

Really nice and good quality audio with a simple app easy to learn

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago after my earpads started to deteriorate on my XM4’s. The XM6’s do disappoint. Comfortable with great metrics to get the exact sound you like. Brilliant headphones.
