This set is absolutely beautiful wherever you want to set it for display. In fact I would say that its main purpose as a book nook would make it more hidden than it deserves. That is unless some lights are set behind it, which in my opinion would make it shine with all the translucent fire pieces.

The way the architecture for the columns has been done is surprisingly simple and loyal to the movie, and they look absolutely great when they are not even the main focus. This set provides a perfect example for how much can be done in Lego with so little. And what an amazing attention to detail, that tiny 1x1 brick to represent the mythril in the mine is great, despite being so well hidden (not something most will ever see where it is, but great for those that build it).

The Balrog is also really well built and loyal to the movie, my only complain is that the limbs, as they are built with technic lego pieces, are a bit too loose to hold certain positions, but that just might be my pieces and not a huge deal breaker. The Balrog is also really easy to get loose from the build for those that want to replicate the fight with Gandalf.

Sincerely, with more money, I would actually buy another copy of this set just to have all the pieces they have used to build freely whatever else.
