Loistava kuvanlaatu digitaalisesti kuvatulla materiaalilla, mutta en voi suositella tv:tä elokuvaharrastajalle, joka katsoo paljon filmille kuvattuja elokuvia. LG:n woled-paneelin valkoinen alipikseli yhdistettynä aina päällä olevaan kuvankäsittelyyn (yliterävöitykseen) saa filmirakeen näyttämään häiritsevältä digikohinalta, joka ei muistuta lainkaan aitoa filmikuvaa. Kohinaa saa vähennettyä noise reduction -säädöllä, mutta aina tämäkään ei auta jos kuvassa on paljon raetta, esim. klassiset mustavalkoleffat. Harmittaa, etten ostanut Sonyn qd-oled Bravia 8 II:ta tarjoushintaan, nyt Sony on valitettavasti 1300 euroa G5:sta kalliimpi 55”-koossa. Todettakoon vielä, että HDR-kuvanlaatu etenkin Dolby Vision 4k-levyiltä on parhaimmillaan todella upea. Siksikin tuo kohinaongelma on ikävä miinus muuten erinomaisessa tv:ssä.

Mukana tuleva seinäkiinnike on hyvä lisä ja sen saranoitu nivelrakenne vinoine reikineen erittäin fiksusti suunniteltu. Sillä saa tv:n nätisti täysin kiinni seinäpintaan ja helposti vaateriin.

Disappointed that I am unable to get the Virgin 360 controller to sync with the LG controller despite LG help who also failed to get it working even after a reset. This could do with looking at as I have to use two controllers which for the price of the TV I would have expected not having to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this OLED 65" G5 tv a week ago, upscaling from a 2024 G5 55" tv. The ⁠65-inch LG G5 OLED TV is a brilliant flagship display. It stars a Primary RGB Tandem panel with an innovative 'Brightness Booster Ultimate' and the α11 AI Processor Gen2, delivering massive brightness, peerless contrast, 165Hz gaming support, and smart webOS features.

There is incredible brightness, utilizing a 4-layer tandem design that leaps past older MLA panels, hitting extreme HDR peaks that easily rival bright-room LED options. Offering self-lit pixels providing near-infinite contrast and zero blooming around highlights. With α11 AI processing, pixel-level analysis provides pristine upscaling and sharp texture enhancement, though aggressive settings can occasionally look over-sharpened.

The tv has great design and gaming capabilities. My G5 tv includes a classy stand though it can be wall mounted for a flush, gapless wall display and has razor-thin bezel and great overall LG design uniformity. Although I don't use the tv for gaming purposes this G5 has superb gaming capabilities with 4 full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K at 165Hz, VRR, G-Sync, and FreeSync.

The G5 has much improved audio with smart interface virtual surround, powered by a 60W 4.2-channel system utilizing AI Sound Pro to upmix audio into virtual 11.1.2 channels. I have, however, bought an LG home cinema sound system with Dolby Atmos to get the very best audio.

The G5 runs the latest webOS 25 with deep AI personalization and is highly responsive, though the heavy menu navigation and redesigned remote (which drops the dedicated input button and the outdated number buttons) can still feel a bit cluttered.

Overall, this is a superb OLED tv which delivers on all fronts. No regrets at all in purchasing it, well worth the investment.

The flush Gallery Design is amazing, it sits completely flat against the wall and looks incredibly smart – no messy cables or clunky gaps.The picture quality is genuinely brilliant. The new MLA panel makes a massive difference to the brightness, especially when watching HDR films, whilst still keeping those perfectly deep, inky blacks that OLEDs are known for.

Whether we're settling in for a movie night or playing PlayStation, it handles the motion perfectly without any lag.

If you're debating whether to take the plunge on this year's model, I'd highly recommend it. It’s a stunning bit of kit and easily the best TV I’ve ever owned.

My first OLED experience and its certainly not a disappointment. I can highly recommend this set, especially at the greatly discounted price. Having viewed both the G5 and G6 side by side, save the extra £1000 or put towards a good flex connect sound bar and rear speakers to compliment the visuals with audio impact.
