Kuvanlaatu on hyvä, ellei erinomainen. Kirkkautta on tarpeeksi. Väreissä on havaittavissa välillä (harvoin) epätäydellistä värien siirtymää, vaikka kuvamateriaali olisi hyvälaatuista.

Kaukosäädin on muuten erinomainen, mutta mute toimii kun painaa voluminappia pohjassa pienemmälle. Tämä on ärsyttävää, sillä jos haluat laittaa ääntä pienemmälle, joudut naputtamaan volumia alaspäin, kun taas suuremmalle menee painamalla voluminappia pohjassa ylöspäin (voi toki myös naputtaa). Olisi kiva kun mutella olisi oma nappi, tai että ainaskin tuon mutetoiminnon saisi pois päältä tuosta voluminapista. Joku voi kaivata myös nappia millä valitset suoraan videotulon.

Buying the LG OLED evo G5 77-inch has genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to home entertainment.

From the very first movie and sports stream, the TV felt fun, cinematic, and deeply immersive in a way that instantly justifies the upgrade. The 77-inch screen size creates a true theatre-like presence in the room, and paired with OLED’s perfect contrast, it transforms every piece of content into an event.

The brightness is exceptional, especially for an OLED. HDR highlights have real punch, specular details pop beautifully, and daytime viewing is no longer a compromise. Even in a brighter room, the picture remains vibrant and impactful without losing the OLED magic.

Where this TV really shines is in its black levels and contrast. Blacks are truly inky and absolute, making dark scenes look rich and dimensional rather than washed out. The depth this adds to films, especially sci-fi, thrillers, and Dolby Vision content, is stunning. Shadow detail remains excellent while still preserving that infinite contrast OLED is famous for.

Motion performance is another standout. Sports look incredibly smooth, fast camera pans remain controlled, and action scenes in movies feel natural without excessive artefacts. The motion handling strikes a fantastic balance between clarity and cinematic presentation, which makes both live sports and blockbuster films equally enjoyable.

Colour reproduction is also superb. Skin tones look natural, vibrant scenes have incredible richness, and the panel’s overall accuracy makes premium streaming content look spectacular. Combined with the size and brightness, the picture often feels almost three-dimensional.

Most importantly, this TV makes watching content genuinely fun again. Whether it’s movies, sports, OTT streaming, or casual YouTube sessions, the experience feels premium, immersive, and special every single time.

Its worth even more when it is sold a a discounted price compared to the launch price. In my opinion, the LG G5 77" is easily one of the best TVs available today, and I’m extremely happy with the decision.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this TV about a month ago now to replace an older 65 inch LG nano 91. The difference is night and day, the contrast on the OLED is just perfect, those black are amazing. The colours are bright and punchy especially on Good HDR/Dolby Vision content. Personally I'm not a fan of Movie Maker mode, I find it too dark. Gaming on a PS5 looks great after readjusting the HDR settings which automatically came up when I connected it to the new TV. Overall this was the top dog at the time only to be surpassed by the G6 which replaces this.

LG G3 77" OLED – My Review

I’ve been using the 77" LG G3 for a while, and the picture quality is honestly the standout. The blacks are perfect as you’d expect from OLED, but what impressed me most is how bright it gets — HDR content really pops and looks incredibly detailed.

The design is super thin and looks amazing on the wall, though it’s clearly built more for mounting than using on a stand. For everyday viewing, everything looks sharp, and even older content holds up well.

Gaming has been great too — smooth, responsive, and no noticeable lag.

The sound is just okay, so I’d recommend a soundbar. It’s also quite expensive, and I’ve noticed slight dimming in very bright scenes.

Overall, I’m really happy with it — if you want top-tier picture quality, it’s definitely worth considering.

My only gripes are I miss the simple home that would just pop up on the bottom edge of the screen and I can’t get always on to display gallery art, just displays a clock.
