Very pleased with picture and sound. Glad I bought it

I bought the TV a few weeks ago, so I've now had a good chance to use it. In short, the picture and sound are fantastic. Low resolution content looks pretty good, HD or higher is fantastic. The audio is good too, the acoustic surface technology gets great sound from a very slim unit.

However, it's not a 5 star product as I'm not happy with the enforced use of a Google account and the associated advertising profiling that goes with it. If people want to opt in to "specially selected promotions tailored just to you", then great... Carry on. But a lot of people just want to watch the streaming services and sources without this and being forced into it leaves a sour taste when you're spending on a premium item. Yes, I knew this before I bought the TV, and yes it's probably not as invasive as others and yes, there are workarounds, but on balance it still detracts from an otherwise excellent TV.

Best tv i have ever bought. Its expensive, but well worth it. I cant express how much I love it.

Used to always buy Samsung as they provide all the screens. So thought theyd be the best. Realised that Sony makes the best tvs. Never going back. Will always have a sony tv. OLED is just incredible.

The sound from the tvs speakers is also better than my sonos soundbar. Which I think is incredible given tv speakers dont have a great reputation.

Now I want to buy the sony bar 8/9. To complete the setup.

Picture quality is insanely good. Sound quality also excellent for a flat pane TV. OS is not intuitive but I YouTubed it and got it sorted in 30 mins.

. Television wouldn’t switch on and all we had was a flashing red light.

Not what you would expect of Sony’s to of the range tv

Having the Bravia 8 ii for a couple of weeks, I am finding that it is not intuitive as my previous one. It takes a bit longer to get to were you want go with the addition of apps etc. One thing I would like to have is a decent pdf manual to find things, as the online Help guide is a bit of a minefield to trawl through. It is alright to find individual things but to find something more in depth for a certain feature you have to keep clicking on something else to find extra things. It would have been much better to add the additional information to the various features which would give a better picture into what you are looking for.

I love my new Sony Bravia 8 II tv & it really is like being in a mini cinema. I bought this to replace a 65” Sony Bravia 4K tv that had etched in speakers, this is now my bedroom tv. I have always loved Sony products & will continue my loyalty with the brand for ever.

Decided to buy my first OLED and was recommended this TV (by dealer) following a recent price reduction.

Features are great (and purchased alongside (TA-AN1000) and TV is so slim when wall mounted.

Overall, I thought the TV would be more vivid with deeper colours, so have tweaked a few settings.

When playing UHD material from a decent source (i.e. Netlfix) the picture is outstanding, especially blacks.

I watch a lot of sport and I'm disappointed that when streaming NOW it does not support UHD (with all Google TVs) and HD picture is poor and lacking colour.

The remotes are useful but no back light which is poor - especially when taking advantage of a darkened room.

I've tweaked a few picture settings (options are great) which has improved each source.

The picture options that you have for streaming and game inputs are great - several options to choose from which enhance the picture.

If they could improve Google TV streaming and remotes I would give this 5 stars.

Purchased a month ago replaced Bravia 7 broken by kids.

It's too early for me to say, I just bought the TV about 3 weeks ago. I gave 1 star just because I couldn't submit my review with out it. I will write another review when use it more

PS. I a fan of Sony Product.

Second Bravia. Picture and tech superb. Sometimes wonder abt the sound - great bass/mid range and presence, but the treble can leave me missing detail. Could be my ears.

I bought the Sony Bravia 8 11 tv and within 1 week the sound stopped working. I tried all the steps advised to resolve the issue and even completed a factory reset to no avail. I sadly had to return the item as it was faulty, we have been brand loyal to Sony and have found the tvs to be brilliant in the past, my first tv lasted 16yrs. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

I bought the tv a month ago and am very impressed with the tv, picture is superb and the sound is excellent. I have the bravia 8 mkii, there are so many settings it can be a bit overwhelming if you start trying to adjust things. Automatic software updates are not as automatic as I would like as I have had a couple of minor sound related glitches that upon searching for software updates they were fixed.

I bought the TV 2 weeks ago and its amazing. We are enjoying watching movies on Sony pictures this Christmas. I wish this offer to be extended a little longer

I bought this tv 3 weeks ago to upgrade my old Sony Bravia KDL- 46V3000 TV I bought over 15 years ago and still working as new. Setup was simple with on screen instructions. 4X HDMI inputs with additional Optical input that some other brands no longer provide which I used to connect my old Sony RHT -G900 Theatre Stand System still providing an excellent sound - will always buy Sony Products which I have never had issues with

I have had this tv ror nearly a month, picture is the best I have had and I have had many in my 73 years, sound is great, worth every penny, and a 5 year warranty, what more can you ask for.

Reviews online said this would be good and it's not a disappointment. Picture quality is amazing and sound is very good

All ways have Sony they just get better all the time

I love my new Bravia 8ii…I’m still trying to find the optimum settings though. It’s a big step up from my 10 yr old 43” Bravia.

I’m still currently watching Sky via the HD system although I have Sky Q arriving at the end of January. Hopefully then I’ll unlock the TV’s fuller potential.

My wife complains occasionally that she can’t hear certain broadcasts so any advice would be great on the best audio settings.

I bought a tv in early August & immediately started having trouble with the apps. Whenever I tried using I player, itvx, channels 4 & 5 they failed to work & it took several attempts over up to 10 mins for them eventually to work. Eventually the tv (K-55XR8M2/Bravia 8ii) was exchanged but the same thing is happening with the new tv. There must be a software fault with this particular model, extremely frustrating.

After several weeks looking at the choices, I am convinced I made the correct choice

Good picture eventually,mediocre sound quality on speach,picture contrast e.t.c.badly adjusted out of the box.Non illuminated remote as advetised !
